National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, is inviting applications for admission in to its PhD Programme in various disciplines for the academic year 2014-15. Programmes on Offer Civil Engineering Computer Science & Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering Mechanical Engineering Architecture Physics Chemistry Mathematics Centre for Energy and Environmental Engineering Humanities and Social Sciences Eligibility Criteria PhD in Engineering/Architecture (including Centers) The applicant must have a Master Degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture in appropriate discipline with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in case of Open/OBC candidates in qualifying degree. Whereas in case of SC/ST candidates a CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 55% marks in qualifying degree will be applicable. In case of Civil Engineering department candidates having Post graduation in Geology/Applied Geology (preferably M.Tech.) can also apply. Ph.D. in Applied SciencesThe applicant must have a master degree in relevant science subject with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in case of Open/OBC candidates in qualifying degree. Whereas in case of SC/ST candidates a CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 55% marks in qualifying degree will be applicable. Ph.D. in Humanities & Social Sciences The applicant must have a master degree in appropriate discipline with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in case of Open/OBC candidates in qualifying degree, whereas in case of SC/ST candidates a CGPI of6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 55% marks in qualifying degree will be applicable.
