Applications are invited for the following posts:
Professor: 02 Posts Qualifications: i). Masters degree in Arts/ Humanities/ Sciences/ Commerce and M.Ed. with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point based scale wherever grading system is followed) Or MA (Education) with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and B.Ed. with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point based scale wherever grading system is followed). ii). PhD in Education and iii). At least ten years of teaching experience in University department of education or College of Education of which a minimum of five years at the M. Ed. level with published work (minimum 10 publications) in the area of ones specialisation. iv). Minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the Appendix III of UGC Regulation, 2010 {(read with the UGC Regulation, 2013 (2nd Amendment)}.
- Associate Professor: 03 PostsQualifications:i). Masters degree in Arts/ Humanities/ Sciences/ Commerce and M.Ed. with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point based scale wherever grading system is followed). Or MA (Education) and B.Ed. with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point based scale wherever grading system is followed). ii). PhD in Education and iii). At least eight years of teaching experience in university department of education or College of Education, with a minimum of three years at the M.Ed. level and has published work (minimum 5 publications) in the relevant area of specialisation. iv). A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the Appendix III of UGC Regulation, 2010 {(read with the UGC Regulation, 2013 (2ndAmendment)}.
Assistant Professor: 08 PostsQualifications: i). Masters degree in the following subject with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point based scale wherever grading system is followed). ii). M.Ed. degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point based scale wherever grading system is followed). iii). Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturers/Assistant Professors conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a PhD degree, in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PhD degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET/ SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in universities/ colleges/ institutions. iv). Without prejudice to the above, NET/ SLET/ SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/ SLET/ SET is not conducted. v). Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC / NCTE from time to time for the position of Assistant Professor, shall be mandatory.
Application Fee (Non-Refundable): Rs. 500/- and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates in the form of DD only drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of The Registrar, Tezpur University, payable at Tezpur.
