1. ADMISSION RULES
In exercise of the powers conferred, the Director General, PDPU, in super session of the all the rules made in this behalf, hereby makes the following rules to regulate admission to the Bachelor of Engineering and Technology and Payment of Fees, as follows, namely:-
1.1. SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT:
1.1.1. These rules may be called the PDPU Bachelor of Technology (Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) Rules, 2013.
1.1.2. They shall come in to force from 23rd May 2013.
1.2. DEFINITIONS:
1.2.1. In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,–
1.2.1.1. “Admission” for the purpose of these rules means admission of candidates in the Bachelor Technology courses at PDPU;
1.2.1.2. “JEE (Main)” means ‘Joint Entrance Examination’ conducted by JEE Apex Board(JAB) New Delhi for the purpose of admissions to the professional courses (Under Graduate Engineering Programs);
1.2.1.3. “ACPC” means ‘The Admission Committee for Professional Courses’ constituted by Education Department, Government of Gujarat as per the Section 20(1) of Act No.2of 2008 called “Gujarat Professional Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007”
1.2.1.4. “BAC-PDPU” means ‘The B. Tech. Admission Committee” constituted by Director General, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University as per the powers conferred to the Director General, PDPU.
1.2.1.5. “Qualifying Examination” means the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination, (Standard XII, 10+2 pattern)of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education, including Central Board of Secondary Education, New

Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
OR
Intermediate Science or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University
OR
Final Examination of the Two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy
OR
Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system
OR
H.S.C. Vocational Examination
OR
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
OR
Three or four-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education
1.2.1.6. “Website” means the official website of the PDPU;
1.2.1.7. “Supernumerary Seats” shall have the meaning assigned to it in clause 2.8 of section 2 of these rules.
1.2.2. The words and expressions used in these rules but not defined shall have the same meanings as assigned to them in the Act.
1.3. ADMISSION TO ENGINEERING COURSES.-
Admission to the First Year of the Bachelor of Engineering and Technology shall be given as under, namely: -
1.3.1. Gujarat Seats (50%)
A candidate seeking admission at PDPU on Gujarat Seats shall apply on-line, for the registration of his candidature, on the ACPC website, within the time limit specified by the ACPC.

Fifty percent seats of the total sanctioned seats shall be filled as Government seats2from the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located in the State of Gujarat and have appeared in JEE (Main) Examination for the corresponding academic year, by the “Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC)”on the basis of the merit list prepared by the Admission Committee; For more details please visit www.jacpcldce.ac.in and www.gujacpc.nic.in
1.3.2. All India Seats (50%)
A candidate seeking admission on All India Seats shall apply on-line, for the registration of his candidature, on the PDPU website, within the time limit specified by PDPU.
Fifty percent seats shall be filled by PDPU from the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State) and have appeared in JEE (Main) 2013. For latest update visit www.pdpu.ac.in

1.5. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
1.5.1. For the purpose of admission on Gujarat Seats, a candidate has to apply at ACPC and fulfill the criteria as per ACPC norms.
1.5.2. For the purpose of admission on All India Seats, a candidate should apply at PDPU and fulfill criteria as mentioned below :
1.5.2.1. A candidate appeared in Paper – 1 of JEE (Main) conducted in 2013
AND
1.5.2.2. A candidate should have passed the Qualifying Examination with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST) in aggregate in theory and practical of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics Subject.
1.6. RESERVATION OF SEATS
1.6.1. For the purpose of admission, the seats shall be reserved for the candidates of Gujarat Seats as per ACPC norms by ACPC.
1.6.2. For the purpose of admission, the seats shall be reserved for the candidates of All India Seats and falling under the following categories and in following proportion, namely:-
1.6.2.1. Scheduled Caste (SC) :15 %
1.6.2.2. Scheduled Tribe (ST) : 7.5%
1.6.2.3. Physically Challenged (Physically Disabled) (PH) : 3%
1.6.3. A candidate seeking admission on reserved seat shall be required to produce a Certificate of Caste from the competent authority.
1.6.4. No caste certificate shall be valid unless it is duly stamped, signed and issued by the authority empowered by the State Government, from where the candidate has passed qualifying examination.
1.6.5. If a candidate fails to submit the certificate as required under sub-rule 2.6.3 within the stipulated time, his candidature shall be considered for admission under unreserved category.
1.6.6. The candidate of reserved category shall be entitled for admission on the open category seat according to his / her preference subject to fulfillment of open category eligibility criteria and as per order of open category merit list.
1.6.7. The admission of a candidate of a reserved category on a reserved seat shall be valid subject to the verification of caste certificate issued to him by the authority empowered by the PDPU in this behalf. In case the caste certificate is found to be invalid on verification, s/he shall not

have right to claim his admission on reserved seat and if s/he has already been granted admission, such admission shall be cancelled.
1.6.8. After granting admission to all the eligible candidates of reserved categories on respective reserved seats, the reserved category seats if remaining vacant shall be transferred to the open category seats.
1.6.9. Three percent of the available seats in each branch shall be reserved, for the persons with disability who can perform the academic activities in the respective course. A candidate with disability shall have to submit certificate of disability issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon
Explanation - “person with disability” means a person suffering from not less than fourty per cent of any disability as certified by a competent medical authority.
1.6.10. The candidate of PH category shall be entitled for admission on the SC / ST category seat according to his / her preference subject to fulfillment of respective category eligibility criteria and as per order of respective category merit list.
1.7. SUPERNUMERARY SEATS
1.7.1. There is no supernumerary seat for Gujarat Seats for the Admission through ACPC.
1.7.2. Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University has taken a unique initiative to promote professional and technical education for girls with the provision of “Girls Variable Supernumerary Seats (GVSS)” for All India Seats admission through BAC-PDPU. The procedure & policy for the same will be as follows:
1.7.2.1. The GVSS will be created to maintain minimum 10% girls on All India Seats in each branch.
1.7.2.2. If at least 10% girl candidates have secured admission in a branch on All India Seats, there will be no supernumerary seat for that particular branch.
1.7.2.3. In a case where in the girl candidates have secured less than 10% of All India Seats, the required number of seats will be created as supernumerary seats. These seats will be offered to only girl candidate as to maintain the minimum 10% girl candidate in each branch. That is, if there are 7% of All India Seats are dully filled in by

girl candidates in any branch inclusive of all categories, only 3% of All India Seats for that particular branch will be supernumerary.
1.7.2.4. The supernumerary seats which remain vacant shall not be filled by any other category.
1.7.2.5. The supernumerary seat will follow the eligibility criteria of open category seats.
1.8. PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST
1.8.1. For the purpose of admission on Gujarat Seats, ACPC will prepare the merit list for and ACPC norms will prevail.
1.8.2. For the purpose of admission on All India Seats, BAC – PDPU will prepare the inter- se merit list of the candidates who have applied for admission on All India Seats at PDPU in the manner prescribed by the BAC –PDPU, within the prescribed time limit and who are found eligible for admission under these rules, shall be prepared on the basis of All India Overall Rank of JEE (Main) 2013 as announced by JAB.
1.9. REGISTRATION FOR ADMISSION
1.9.1. For the purpose of admission on Gujarat Seats, a candidate shall apply at ACPC as per ACPC policy & procedures.
1.9.2. For the purpose of admission on All India Seats, a candidate shall apply on-line, for the registration of his candidature, on the PDPU website, within the time limit specified by the BAC - PDPU. (Please visit the PDPU website for the online application procedure.)
1.9.2.1. The BAC-PDPU shall announce, by advertisement in some leading newspapers/on web-site and by such other means, as it may consider convenient, the date of registration, last date for submission of registration form, courses offered and such other information as may be necessary in this regard.
1.9.2.2. For the purpose of registration, a candidate shall be required to make online payment of Rs. 1200.00 through internet banking / debit card / credit card towards the Registration fee.
1.9.2.3. A candidate shall be required to upload the colored scan copy of requisite certificates and testimonials as specified in the registration form.

1.10. ADMISSION PROCEDURE
1.10.1. The admission procedure for Gujarat Seats shall be off campus online as per ACPC norms, policy & procedures by ACPC.
1.10.2. The admission procedure for All India Seats shall be on campus in the following manner, namely:-
1.10.2.1. BAC - PDPU shall prepare merit list of the eligible candidates who have applied under sub-rule 1.8 of these rules.
1.10.2.2. The Candidates will have to check their inter-se merit number on the PDPU website.
1.10.2.3. BAC - PDPU shall publish the schedule of On Campus counseling program for the short listed candidates on the basis of merit on the PDPU web-site and no individual communication will be made in this regard.
1.10.2.4. The shortlisted candidate shall be required to appear in person and have to register at least one hour before the prescribed schedule at the registration desk of B. Tech. Admission 2013 on campus counseling process. The candidate shall have to make their own arrangement for reaching at PDPU campus.
The candidate who remain absent at the On Campus Counseling Process as per the schedule shall not be considered for any further B. Tech. Admission process 2013, will not be entitled for any rights of admission.
1.10.2.5. The candidate shall be required to indicate his/her order of choices of courses at the time of on campus counseling process. Allotment of seats shall be made on the basis of merit, category of the candidate and availability of seats.
1.10.2.6. Counseling will include verification of the original documents personal and academic credentials of candidates’ viz. identity, age, academic qualifications and category, and thereafter the offer of provisional admission or waitlist will be made to eligible candidates, as the case may be.
1.10.2.7. If a candidate is unable to appear for the counseling due to serious illness/accident or other unavoidable circumstances, his guardian may remain present on his or her behalf with a request- cum-authority letter from candidate with all the required original documents.
1.10.2.8. The candidate who has been offered confirmed / provisional admission shall be required to pay such fee, as prescribed in

sub rule 1.11.2 to secure his / her admission at the time of on campus counseling process.
1.10.2.9. A candidate reporting late for On Campus Counseling Process must contact the Convener, BAC-PDPU who may try to accommodate him in any of the remaining sessions as per the on-going merit, if possible. However, this is not the obligation on the part of the University. The Admission Committee’s decision shall be final and binding in this regard.
1.11. ACADEMIC FEES
1.11.1. A candidate who gets admission on Gujarat Seats through ACPC, s/he is required to follow ACPC norms for the policy & procedure and required to pay the fees as mentioned in sub section 1.11.3 of these rules.
1.11.2. A candidate who has been offered admission on All India Seats through BAC-PDPU during on campus counseling, s/he shall have to pay such fees, as mentioned in sub section 1.11.3 of these rules.
At the time of counseling total fee (an amount equivalent to point no. 8 in Table 2 : Fee Structure) has to be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University’, payable at Ahmedabad.
Subsequently, fees are charged semester-wise, at the registration of each semester. The University reserves the right to revise the fee and payment structure.
A candidate has to pay the required fees, at the time of on campus counseling to secure his / her admission. No extension of time shall be granted for paying such fees.
Failure to remit such fees shall be considered as non-acceptance of offer of the admission to B. Tech. Program.

1.12. HOSTEL & MESS FACILITIES
1.12.1. A candidate who has been offered admission to PDPU either on Gujarat Seats or on All India Seat and interested to avail the Hostel and /or Mess Facilities should report at Hostel Desk / Mess Desk at PDPU Campus. 3The above fee is pending for the reconsideration for its upward revision up to Rs. 1,50,000/- per student per annum by the Fee Regulatory Committee in pursuance to order of Hon’ble High Court of Gujarat dated 7th May, 2013. Each admitted student shall give undertaking to the effect that s/he shall pay incremental tuition fee if and when finally decided.

1.12.2. There is a limited Hostel facility is available on PDPU Campus. For the first year B. Tech. Candidates enrolled in 2013-14, Hostel Facilities will be provided on first come first basis, subject to availability.
1.12.3. To secure the Hostel facilities, following fees are required to be paid for the academic year 2013-14. These fees are subject to revision from time to time.
Annual Hostel Fees (Non Refundable) : Rs.55,000.00
Hostel Deposit (Refundable) : Rs.05,000.00
1.12.4. Mess Charges for the academic year 2012-13 are as follows, and are likely to be revised for academic year 2013-14: ( Subject to revision from time to time)
1.12.4.1. Approximate Food Bill of Rs.13800.00 per semester for Lunch, Dinner & Snacks as per canteen schedule. This is compulsory for candidate opting for PDPU Hostel Facility.
1.12.4.2. Approximate Food Bill of Rs.9000.00 per semester for Lunch & Snacks as per canteen schedule
1.12.5. The above mentioned Hostel Fees / Mess Charges have to be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University’, payable at Ahmedabad.
1.13. SCHOLARSHIP
1.13.1.1. The University offers merit scholarship (equal to full tuition fee) to the first 5 (five) students from among the students admitted in each branch provided their JEE (Main) All India Overall Rank is up to 20,000.
1.13.1.2. The continuation of scholarship shall subject to the consistent good academic performance and discipline behavior and all other norms, as prescribed by the University from time to times subject to the availability of fund.
1.13.1.3. Other scholarship like Merit-cum-Means, Special Scholarship for girls, and Freeship may be made available as per the norms, Subject to the availability of fund.

1.14. REQUIREMENT OF DOCUMENTS
1.14.1. The candidate applying for admission on Gujarat Seats through ACPC has adhered to the norms and procedure as prescribed by ACPC.
1.14.2. The candidate applying for admission on All India Seats through BAC- PDPU should follow the following procedure as mentioned in sub rule 1.14.2.1 and 1.14.3 of these rules.
1.14.2.1. The following documents are required to be uploaded in original at the time of Online Registration at PDPU Website.
1.14.2.2. S.S.C. Examination (Std. X) Mark-sheet
1.14.2.3. H.S.C. Examination (Std. XII) Mark-sheet, if available
1.14.2.4. JEE (Main) Admit Card
1.14.2.5. JEE (Main) Score Card
1.14.2.6. School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate
1.14.2.7. Caste certificate for a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) issued by the authority empowered by the State Government in this behalf
1.14.2.8. Certificate of Physical Disability, issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon/ competent Medical Authority, in case the candidate belongs to a PH Category.
1.14.2.9. Latest Passport Size Photograph of candidate
1.14.3. The candidate shall have to produce for verification, the original certificates and testimonials of the documents uploaded with the registration form, at the On Campus Counseling Process, within time-limit as may be specified by the BAC – PDPU.
1.14.4. The University may retain any original certificate or testimonial, which it considers necessary until the admission process is completed. The University shall return the original certificate or testimonial to the candidate after completion of the admission process.
1.14.5. The candidate who is unable to produce original certificates and testimonials necessary for the purpose of admission at the time of on campus counseling for All India Seats as prescribed in sub-rule 1.14.2, s/he may be granted provisional admission, subject to following conditions, namely:-
1.14.5.1. On payment of additional Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand) to the BAC - PDPU as security deposit by the candidate. If the candidate submits the required documents latest by 31st July 2013, the remaining amount of the security deposit shall, after deducting Rs. 500.00 (Rupees Five hundred) towards the administrative expenditure, be refunded.

1.14.5.2. In the event of failure to submit original certificates and testimonials within the time limit as aforesaid,
1.14.5.2.1. The provisional admission will be treated as cancelled without giving any notice and the security deposit as mentioned in 1.14.5.1 along with the academic fees paid as per 1.11.2 will be forfeited.
1.14.5.2.2. Only the deposit amount paid as per 1.11.2 shall be refunded on 15th December 2013.
1.15. INELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION ON PRODUCTION OF FALSE DOCUMENTS
During verification of documents or subsequently, if the University finds any certificate or testimonial or information submitted by any candidate, incorrect or false, the candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled for that year and he shall be permanently disqualified for admission in all the courses of the University.
All the fees paid by such candidates will be forfeited, and only the deposit may be refunded on 15th March 2014.

1.16. CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION AND REFUND OF FEE
1.16.1. A candidate who has secured an admission on Gujarat Seats should follow ACPC norms in this regards.
1.16.2. A candidate who has secured admission on All India Seats through BAC- PDPU, following norms will apply.

1.16.3. Cancellation of Admission, in case of following:

The admission given on All India Seats will be cancelled automatically, when ACPC will notify to PDPU for admission of such candidate at PDPU in any of the offered branch.
The candidate will not have any right over admission on All India Seats whatsoever. S/he will also not be eligible for any further sliding / reshuffling or admission against cancellation on All India Seats.
The fees paid for All India Seats at PDPU will be adjusted in remaining fees payable for admission on Gujarat Seats at PDPU. No refund in cash will be given.

A candidate who have already secured admission on Gujarat Seats at PDPU through ACPC and later on secures admission on All India Seats through BAC-PDPU in the any branch.
A candidate has to give an undertaking to the BAC-PDPU that, s/he will make sure to follow the procedure of ACPC to cancel his / her admission within 2 days of his / her admission at PDPU on All India Seats.
It shall be the responsibility of the candidate to provide proof of the cancellation of admission on Gujarat Seats from ACPC within the time limit.
In a case where, the candidate fails to follow the above mentioned procedure, the BAC-PDPU will have the right to cancel his / her admission after 24 hours of giving the notice on PDPU Website. No Individual communication will be made in this regard.
Such cancellation will be treated at par with the Sr. No. 3 of clause 1.16.2.1
The cancellation norms of ACPC will prevail for Gujarat Seats.
The candidate has to make the payment of fees as prescribed in 1.11.2 as per the policy & procedure of BAC-PDPU.
BAC-PDPU norms will apply for any further cancellation of admission from All India Seats.

1.17. ADMISSION AGAINST CANCELLATION / SLIDING / OPERATING THE WAIT LIST FOR ALL INDIA SEATS
1.17.1. Where the seats fall vacant the BAC-PDPU may do the auto sliding as per following process for readjustment (reshuffling) of seats.
1.17.2. The Candidate will be required to fill the Choice of branch & its order of preference during the On Campus Counseling Process.
1.17.3. The order of choice & preference of branch once submitted in the choice form during the On Campus Counseling Process is final and cannot be modified (to add / to remove branch / or to change the order) under any circumstances.
1.17.4. The eligible candidates, who have not got the admission in his or her first choice during the counseling, shall be considered for sliding procedure; if they have been admitted in any other choices or opted for wait list. The Candidates who have neither opted wait list nor admitted in other branch during the counseling process will not be considered for any sliding / reshuffling of seats.
1.17.5. If the admitted candidates get the upgraded branch on the basis of his or her choice made during the counseling, then his or her earlier admission shall be treated as cancelled. There will be no individual communication or confirmation will be taken for the sliding of admission. This will be automatically done by the system as per the order of choice given by candidate during the counseling.
1.17.6. The candidate is also required to deposit R17,500 (INR Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Only) by Demand Draft in favor of “Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University” payable at Ahmedabad, Gujarat at Fee Collection desk if the admission is offered in Petroleum Engineering branch in later date.
1.17.7. If the wait list candidates get the option of admission in his or her one of the choice made during the counseling, he or she will be given one working day to pay the required fees as per clause no. 1.11.2. There will be no individual communication or confirmation will be taken for the sliding of admission. This will be automatically done by the system as per the order of choice given by candidate during the counseling. Candidates are alwaysinstructed to visit website of PDPU for updates.
1.17.8. If the waitlisted candidates fails to pay the fees within required time line, his or her name will be dropped from subsequent sliding / reshuffling and he or she will not be eligible for admission in academic year 2013-14.

1.17.9. The sub rule 0 will be applicable for the process of cancellation for the candidate admitted as per sub rule 1.17
1.18. COMMUNICATIONS
All communications by the University for the Admission Process will be made only through the website www.pdpu.ac.in. Candidates are advised to access the University’s website on regular basis for admission updates. No individual communication shall be entertained.
1.19. INTERPRETATION:
In implementation of the provisions of these rules, if any difficulty or question arises as to the interpretation of any provision, the decision of the Director General, PDPU shall be final.
The candidates will be bound by the rules and regulations of the University as applicable during their course of study at PDPU. Disputes, if any, shall be subject to Ahmedabad jurisdiction only.

2. EDUCATION LOAN
The university has made the special request cum arrangement with Oriental Bank of Commerce, Corporation Bank, and State Bank of India. The officials from these banks have consented to provide the Education Loan to the PDPU students, as per prevailing norms of the respective bank. The officials from above mentioned banks will remain present during On Campus Counseling Process.

INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES
1. Separate application along with registration fee has to be submitted for each of the
Post applied.
2. The candidates should possess the prescribed qualifications as on the date of issue
of this notification.
3. The University reserves the right not to fill up all or any of the posts advertised.
4. For all the information furnished / claims made, sufficient and appropriate evidence
from competent authority should be enclosed.
5. Physically challenged persons should furnish the Medical Certificate from District
Medical Board / appropriate authority along with the application.
6. In respect Asst.Professors the NET qualification is compulsory.
7. However, Net qualification is relaxable for the categories of Assistant Professors in
Faculty of Veterinary, Dairy & Fishery Science, provided that passing of NET will be
mandatory and the probation shall be declared only after passing of NET, if not
already passed. If NET qualification is not obtained within two years, the service
rendered after two years till acquiring the NET qualification will not be counted for
CAS benefits and further increments will be stopped.NET qualification is relaxable
for candidates having Ph.D. qualification as per UGC Rules. A candidate is
considered as qualified in NET only if he/she has enclosed final NET certificate to
the application.
8. The applicants for the posts in the Veterinary faculty should have invariably
registered with State Vety.Council/Vety.Council of India and produce the same at
the time of interview and enclose a copy of the same to the application.
9. Certified copies of degree or provisional certificates and marks sheet / transcripts
should be enclosed to the application. The originals should be brought at the time of
interview.
10. In case of Assoc.Professor and Professor filled in PBAS proforma along with verifiable
evidences in sequential orders with assigned numbers should be enclosed.
11. While filling up of the application form
i) Application in 06 sets should be submitted along with all enclosures including
publications in A4 size in spiral bound form (including PBAS forms in case of
Assoc.Professor & Professor)
ii) Under item No.14 (meant for qualifications) the period of studies should be
indicated clearly with date, month and year of joining and leaving studies. If
any of the applicants did their M.Sc. or Ph.D. by research, it should be clearly
indicated.
iii) Under item No.25 (meant for employment record) the details of service rendered
by the applicant in different cadres clearly mention date, month and year of
appointment, scale of pay and pay drawn. The period of study during the
service should be indicated clearly.
iv) Service rendered outside SVVU / ANGRAU if any should be clearly indicated
with proof.
12. Applicants already employed in organizations other than SVVU should send their
applications through proper channel so as to reach the University within the
prescribed date.
13. Applicants should appear for interview at their own cost.
14. Reservation in favour of Backward Classes Group-E is subject to outcome of Civil
Appeal Nos.2628-2637/2010 etc. pending before the Supreme Court.
15. Selected candidates shall serve for at least six years in remote and difficult areas i.e.
B & C category centres of which three years shall be in remote areas (C – class
centers) and three years in backward areas (B – class centers) during the entire
period of service. Failure to comply with the above rule attracts disciplinary action
and disqualification for promotion etc.
16. Interview schedule shall be displayed on University website and intimation to
candidate shall be sent by e-mails only.
17. Incomplete application forms are liable to be rejected.
18. The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and possessing of same does
not entitle candidates to be called for interview. The candidates who qualify on
screening of applications only be called for interview. As such, the candidates for
Associate Professor and Professor posts are advised to fill the PBAS form carefully
and each and every column of application should be filled up accurately because
marks will be awarded on the basis of information supplied by them in each column.
19. Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University do not enter into correspondence with the
candidates about reasons for their non-selection for interview/appointment.
Selected candidates shall be governed by SVVU Regulations and such other conditions as
may be prescribed by the University from time to time. They are liable to be posted or
transferred to any equivalent posts as determined by the University in Teaching, Research
or Extension, in the State

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR /EQUIVALENT CADRES IN THE FACULTY OF VETERINARY
SCIENCE:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science.
2. Good academic record with at least 70% marks or an equivalent grade in a
ten point scale, wherever grading system is followed, at the Master’s Degree
level in the concerned subject from an Indian University or an equivalent
degree from an accredited foreign university. However, for certain
departments the specialization at Master’s Level shall be as specified in table
(I) below.
3. Minimum marks required in PG degree would be 65% or equivalent grade for
SC/ST/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled)
candidates.
4. A pass in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the ICAR/UGC/
CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. However, Net
qualification is relaxable for the categories of Assistant Professors in
Veterinary Science with the condition that candidates should qualify in the
National Eligibility Test within 2 years from the date of joining the post,
failing which further increments shall be stopped and such candidates will
not be considered for promotion under Career Advancement Scheme.
5. NET is not required in case of the candidates possessing Ph.D that is
acquired both by course work and research.
6. NET/SLET/SET is not required for such disciplines for which
NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
7. Knowledge of Telugu language is preferable for the posts of Assistant
Professors. Where candidates from A.P. or candidates with Telugu knowledge
are not available the candidates without knowledge of Telugu shall also be
considered for the posts under open category and such candidates shall pass
the Telugu language test conducted by APPSC within a period of 3 years
failing which their probation shall not be declared.

3. Minimum marks required in PG degree would be 65% or equivalent grade for
SC/ST/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled)
candidates. In case of Dairy Engineering 50% shall be the minimum for
SC/ST/Physically and visually differently-abled candidates.
