TOEFL Merit Scholarship Program in India, 2015

ScholarshipsScholarship Details:
  • Number of Scholarships: 10
  • Each Scholarship is valued at US $7,000.

Eligibility:
Candidates must:
  • reside in India
  • start an undergraduate or graduate degree program between June 2015 and May 2016 at a college or university listed in the TOEFL Destination Search.
  • hold a grade point average of 80 or higher on a 100-point scale, or a 3.0 grade point average or higher on a 4-point scale
  • demonstrate English proficiency with a valid TOEFL score

Selection Process:
  • After applying with initial application, a total of 100 candidates are selected to submit additional information, which is due on 8th September, 2015.
  • The selected candidates must exhibit:
    • an outstanding ability to communicate
    • demonstrated leadership skills
    • well-rounded extracurricular activities, especially including community service
    • innovative ideas as reflected in essays

Sussex India Scholarships @ University of Sussex, UK

Scholarships Scholarship Details:
  • All the overseas fee paying students from India will receive a scholarship worth £3,000 who got admitted to start an eligible Masters course in September 2015.
  • Scholarship will be awarded as a fee reduction.

Eligibility:
  • Candidate must be a self-financing student from India and have accepted an offer of a full-time place on a Masters course at the University of Sussex commencing in September 2015.

Colombo Plan Scholarship @ University of Auckland

Scholarships Scholarship Details:
  • Number of Scholarships : 1
  • Duration of the Scholarship: 1 Year
  • The value of the scholarship is $3,000

Eligibility:
  • The scholarship will be awarded to an international student who is a citizen of one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Srilanka, Thailand, the United States of America and Vietnam.
  • The scholarship will be awarded to a student who has paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrollment in a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (honours) or any postgraduate degree program in the Faculty of Engineering.

Selection Process:
  • The applicants are selected based on their academic merit, financial need, community activities, communication skills, leadership potential and desire to contribute positively to the engineering profession.
