Integrated Five Year LL.B. Course by Government of Kerala

Adminissions Eligibility:
Candidates should:

  • be an Indian Citizen.
  • have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or any other examination recognized by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto. (or) have passed in 10+2 Course of schooling recognized by the educational authority of the Central or State Government
    (or)
    possesses such academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to such 10+2 course by the Bar Council of India with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • Candidates belonging to the SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination with minimum 40% marks.
  • Candidates who are appearing/ appeared for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination subject to the condition that they should produce the Pass Certificate and Mark List of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

Age limit:
  • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age, as on 31st December, 2015.There is no upper age limit for admission to the integrated five year LL.B. Course.

Selection Process:
  • To qualify for admission, General Candidates should secure a minimum of 10% of the total marks and SC/ST candidates should secure a minimum of 5% of the total marks in the entrance examination which is held at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.

How to apply:

  • After completing the online registration, candidates can download and print the Challan and pay the registration fee of Rs. 600/- (For GEN/SEBC candidates), Rs. 300/- (For SC/ST/PD candidates) and pay in any one of the branches of State Bank of Travancore (SBT).
  • Candidates outside Kerala State can remit the application fee by Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn from a Nationalized Bank in favour of The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
  • The printout of the application along with the required documents and DD should be sent via Registered Post/Speed Post/Hand Delivery to:

B.Tech. & Dual Degree Programmes @ IIST, Thiruvananthapuram

Adminissions Study Subjects:
  • B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering
  • B.Tech. in Avionics
  • Dual Degree (B.Tech. and MS/M.Tech.)
    • B.Tech. degree in Engineering Physics
    • MS/M.Tech. degree in one of the following four streams.
    • MS in Astronomy and Astrophysics ·
    • MS in Earth System Science
    • MS in Solid State Physics
    • M.Tech. in Optical Engineering

Eligibility:
Candidates should:
  • be Indian citizens.
  • have passed their Qualifying Examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects and secure an aggregate of at least 70% marks for GEN and OBC candidates (aggregate of 60% marks for SC/ST/PD candidates).
  • appear for JEE Main-2015 and secure:
    • For GEN: at least 20% marks in aggregate (i.e. 100 marks out of 504) and at least 5% marks (i.e. 8 marks out of 168) in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics)
    • Other Backward Community – Non Creamy Layer OBC (NCL) Candidates: At least 18% marks in aggregate (i.e. 90 marks out of 504) and at least 4.5% marks (i.e. 7 marks out of 168) in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).
    • SC, ST & PD Candidates: At least 10% marks in aggregate (i.e. 50 marks out of 504) and at least 2.5% marks (i.e. 4 marks out of 168) in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).

Age limit:
  • Candidates belonging to GEN/OBC categories must have been born on or after October 1, 1990 (SC/ST/PD candidates must have born on or after October 1, 1985)

Financial Assistance:
  • Students will receive financial assistance (Secure a minimum GPA of 7.5 out of 10-point scale in any semester) funded by Department of Space (DOS), Government of India once in a semester, to meet the expenses of education such as tuition fee, students amenity fee, hostel charges including dining, establishment charges and medical cover.
  • Students are also provided with an additional book allowance of Rs.3,000/- for every semester.

Selection Process:
  • Candidates should secure a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance test to qualify for admission programme.

  • After completing the online registration, candidates can download and print the Challan and pay the registration fee of Rs. 600/- (For Male candidates in GEN and OBC), Rs. 300/- (For Female candidates in GEN and OBC), Rs.300/- (All SC, ST, PD candidates) and pay in any one of the branches of State Bank of India (SBI) or Union Bank of India (UBI).
  • Candidates should enter the Bank Transaction Details by logging into the online application portal using Registration Number and Password.
  • Candidates should upload the scanned image in PDF/JPEG format of the Institute copy of the Challan countersigned and stamped (seal) by the Bank.

Eligibility:
  • Candidates who have passed (MD/MS/DNB) examination from Medical Colleges recognized by MCI or its statutory equivalent are eligible.
  • Candidates who will be completing training period on or before 30/06/2015 are also eligible to apply, provided the candidates should submit
    • a certificate issued by the Principal / Dean of college regarding the likely date of completion of the course and acquiring the eligible qualification
    • a declaration by the candidate, failing which their applications will be rejected.
