The Asian Women in Business Scholarship encourages and promotes exceptional Asian female students who have demonstrated scholarship, leadership, community service and/ or entrepreneurship. The AWIB Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to students who have the attributes to be our next generation of leaders. Scholarship Details Each winner will receive $2,500 Applicant can be considered for an additional $2,500 (a total of $5,000) if qualified as lower middle income Awards are expected to be applied towards tuition and other education-related expenses Eligibility Criteria Candidates for the scholarship must be female of Asian (includes those who can trace their ancestry from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam) or Pacific Islander ancestry and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The definition of Asian follows that provided by the U.S. Census. A minimum TOEFL score of 91 (Internet based) or equivalent paper/computer based TOEFL, or a minimum academic IELTS score of 6.5. PhD Minimum GPA of 3.2 or equivalent A relevant undergraduate and Master’s degrees in the fields of Science, Engineering or Computing and Information Science GRE scores - The minimum score required on the GRE Quantitative is 155 (700 on the old scale).
