TCIL requires qualified and experienced candidates for the post of School Coordinator on Contract basis for its ICT@School Project in the state of Odisha.

Minimum Qualification              :
·         Graduate in any discipline
·         1 year Diploma in Computers or any other equivalent qualification in Computer Science/Computer from a recognized institute.
·         Well versed in basic computer operations
·         B.Ed candidates having Computer knowledge may be preferred.
·         Preferably OS-CIT certified. If not, then he/she should complete OS-CIT certification within 1 year

Minimum 2 years’ experience (hardware repairing or teaching experience preferred)

Maximum 35 years as on 01.01.2014
Contract Period
Initially for one year extendable for further period depending on performance.

 Prime Roles & Responsibilities of School Coordinator
1.      Training students and if required teachers on IT skills as per the school syllabus and time table.
2.      To keep all the hardware and software in operational condition, on the spot training and hand holding of the teachers to enable the teachers to use the computers for computer teaching & also using educational e-content for Computer Aided Learning.
3.      To arrange the fuel for the Genset in case of electricity failure.
4.      To overall manage the ICT lab in schools and to ensure the maximum uptime of all the hardware and software.
5.      To coordinate with the Helpdesk for any hardware or software related problem to ensure that it’s solved within the stipulated time.
6.      To train at least 5 teachers of the school on usage of the hardware for a minimum of 5 days. Other School staff may be included in this teacher training program.
7.      Opening and closing of the ICT Lab for normal school hours except Sunday/Gazetted/School holidays in Odisha.
8.      Day to day cleanliness, operation of hardware, software, other lab accessories, lodging of complaints for proper functioning.
9.      To ensure that the trainings and refreshers of concerned subject teachers are carried out.
10.  Concerned school Head Master (HM) or his nominee will act as Assistant Nodal Officer (ANO) to ensure that the proper stock entry has been completed in all respect, checking the functional status of all hardware and allied accessories during the contract period, ensure that the complaints regarding the defects has been logged in the complaint register, intimate the same to the Bhubaneswar office of TCIL and to the State Project Office (OMSM).
11.  The ICT lab will remain open during winter/Summer Vacations, if required. However, the School Coordinator will ensure that UPS of ICT Lab should be switched on at least once in a week for about 3 hours so that the batteries may not deep discharge.
12.  The School Coordinator will be responsible for the stock entry of all the equipment and ensure the installation as per the implementation schedule.
13.  To ensure that all the nominated teachers in each school have been trained to use internet/e-mails and other relevant departmental/other software.
14.  Any lapse in this regard will invite disciplinary action against the concerned School Coordinator.
15.  The duty hours shall be from 9am to 5pm. Maximum 2 days leave per month is allowed with prior permission of the School Head Master.

Instructions  : -    

1.      The last date of receipt of the applications is 19th Feb 2014.

2.       Age relaxation in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. of India guidelines.

3.        Experience in the relevant field shall be calculated from the date of attaining the minimum essential qualification(s).

4.      The recruitment process may be cancelled at any stage with without assigning any reason thereof.
5.        The posts advertised are meant for posting in different schools located in villages and Gram Panchayats in the District of Kendrapara, Jagatsingpur and Jajpur. Candidate is required to give their preference for the Block he/she wishes to work. Attempt shall be made to post the selected candidate in his/her preferred Block. However the selected candidate should be prepared to work in any of the Block of  3 districts mentioned above.
6.        Name of the post applied for and Preferred BLOCK should invariably be mentioned on the top of the envelope containing the application form. Each envelope should contain only one application.

7.        Incomplete/unsigned applications and applications received after the last date of receipt of applications will not be entertained and the application form in the prescribed format without the duly attested copies of all relevant certificates (Educational, Professional, Date of Birth & Experience) will liable to be rejected.

The CBSE will hold WALK-IN-INTERVIEWS for the engagement of Library Trainees. These posts are purely temporary. 
Selected candidates will be posted at CBSE offices located in Delhi. Preference will be given to the candidates residing 
in Delhi/NCR. The tenure/ engagement may be extended as per the requirements and on the basis of satisfactory 
performance.

Age: - Maximum 25 years (As on last date of application form submission) 
Salary/fee: - ` 10,000 consolidated per month and/or commensurate to the qualifications & experience of the

Nature of Work:- 
 The nature of work will include handling various library housekeeping processes, both traditional and 
automated using GRANTHALAYA library software, work processes at the library counter, Network Assisted 
Server-CD Mirroring Server etc. 
 They may be required to work till late on working days, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays as per library 
requirements. 
 Other duties assigned by senior officers’ time to time. 
 
Qualifications:- 
Minimum Essential Qualifications:- 
 Diploma in Library and Information Science from a recognized University /Institute. 
 
Experience:- 
 At least six months relevant working experience. 
 
Desirable Qualifications:-

http://www.cbseacademic.in. The candidates are advised to view the website and appear for the interview 
accordingly. 
 
4. The candidates must bring original certificates for verification and submit detailed Curriculum Vitae with a recent 
attested colored photograph along with copies of all relevant certificates (including character certificate and 
residential proof) duly attested by the Head of an educational institution (or) any Gazetted officer at the time of 
interview. 
 
5. CBSE may relax any of the conditions / eligibility criteria as its discretion. 
 
6. CBSE has the right to set different as well as higher norms, while short listing, taking into the requirements of the 
concerned units/departments. Mere fulfillment of qualification requirements does not entitle candidate to be 
called for interview. Board reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable 
limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement and 
other relevant achievements. 
 
7. CBSE reserves the right to fill or not fill any or all the posts advertised. 
 
8. Direct nominations can also be made by an eminent scholar/expert/professional or reputed group for advertised 
positions to the undersigned on or before the last date of online registration. For consideration of such 
nominations (if any), the decision of the Chairman, CBSE will be final and conclusive. 
 
9. The invitation to candidate for interview merely indicates that it is felt that he/she with others may be suitable 
for the post and conveys no assurance whatsoever that he/she will be recommended or selected or his/her 
conditions specified in the application will be accepted.

17. In case of recruitment to the advertised positions, the CBSE may conduct examination/ seminar/ 
presentation/written test/ computer test etc. as a method for further short listing of candidates as may be 
decided by the competent authority. 
 
18. The CBSE reserves the right to offer a post at a level lower or higher than that applied for, depending upon the 
qualifications, experience and performance of the candidate. 
 
19. The CBSE reserves the right to draw up reserve panel/waiting list(s), which will be valid for one year from the 
date of approval of the competent authority and may be used for appointments on consequential/new vacancies. 
 
20. The CBSE reserves the right to consider “in absentia” candidature of those who may not have applied or who may 
have applied but are not able to appear for the interview. 
 21. All candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential 
qualifications/experience laid down in the advertisement. 
 
22. Application sent other than ONLINE is liable to be rejected. 
 
23. Canvassing in any form may lead to cancellation of candidature. 
 
24. Grading system, followed by a recognized Board/Institute/University shall also be considered eligible. 
 
25. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the 
issue of appointment/extension letter, the Board reserves the right to modify/ withdraw/ cancel any 
communication made to the candidate/selected/appointed person. 
 
26. CBSE will not pay any TA/DA etc. for appearing in the interview even if a scheduled interview is not held.
