Indian Army: NCC Special Entry Scheme 36th Course

Applications are invited from unmarried/ married male and unmarried female and also from the Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel, for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army.

For NCC 'C' Certificate Holders: Qualifications:i). Degree or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. The candidate must possess graduation degree at the time of joining training at OTA. The candidates studying in the third year of graduation must pass degree examination with minimum 50% marks before the commencement of the course and should be able to produce the degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training as notified from time to time as well as stipend and pay and allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate. Candidate should also attach certificate with their applications regarding CGPA converted to aggregate percentage of marks as per university rules from their institutes.

For Ward of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel Qualifications:i). Degree or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. ii). NCC 'C' certificate not required. iii). Applicants under category of Wards of Battle Casualties to send their applications direct to Dte Gen of Recruiting/ Rtg-A, NCC Entry, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066. (iv) Eligibility for wards of battle casualties and also document to be attached along with the application form is as under. (a) A letter to the effect that the parent has been killed/wounded / reported missing in act ion issued by MP Dte/Respective Regimental Records and a copy of Part II Order notifying injuries and being classified as battle casualties in case of serving/ medically boarded out pers. (b) The vacancies under wards of battle casualties are available to wards (sons and daughters including legally adopted) of battle casualties specified as (aa) Killed in action (ab) Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted) (ac) Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted). (ad) Missing. (c) Relation Certificate issued by Records / MP Dte. (d) Last Date of Receipt of Application in Rtg Dte for Wards of battle casualties is 17 Feb 2014. Age Limit: For NCC candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties) 19 to 25 years (born not earlier than 02 Jul 89 and not later than 01 Jul 95).

Physical Standard: Height and Weight: The minimum acceptable height is 157.5cms. with co-related weight and for women candidate is 152cms and 42 Kg. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and Hilly Areas like Gorkhas, Nepalies, Assamies and Garhwalis, the height will relaxed by 5cms and weight commensurate with reduced height. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2cms.

How to Apply: Eligible candidate can send their applications on a plain paper, duly typed in the prescribed format given in the advertisement to the nearest OC, NCC Unit from where NCC ‘C’ certificate has been issued. Those serving in the Armed Forces should send application in the Armed Forces duly counter-signed by Commanding Officer to the OC, NCC Unit from where NCC’ ‘C’ certificate has been issued. Senior Research Fellowship 2014 @ Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology

Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is inviting applications for awarding Senior Research Fellowship 2014.

Fellowship Details
The fellowship is awarded to work in All India Coordinated Research Program (AICRP) in Home Science. The job will involve laboratory research and fieldwork.

Selected applicant will get a fellowship of Rs. 16,000 per month. The award is tenable for the period of three years subject to six monthly reviews or completion of the project whichever is earlier.

Eligibility criteria
The candidates should possess M.Sc. in Clothing and Textile and Plant Breeding.

MD Scholarship 2014 @ KIIT University, Bhubaneswar

KIIT University is inviting applications for awarding MD Scholarship 2014.

Scholarship Details
MD Scholarship 2014 is for pursuing 3 years Doctor of Medicines (MD) programs in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathology and Community Medicine at the university.

The candidates will get scholarship of Rs. 15,000 pm for 1st year, Rs. 20, 000 for 2nd year and Rs. 25, 000 for 3rd year.

Eligibility Criteria
A candidate, who holds MBBS degree from a recognized medical college of India or a foreign medical degree included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship shall be eligible for this scholarship.
