Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kottayam, invites applications for admission into full-time and part-time Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) programs offered in various disciplines at School of Behavioral Sciences, School of Biosciences, School of Chemical Sciences, School of Environmental Sciences, School of Pure & Applied Physics, School of Letters, School of Gandhian Thought & Development Studies, School of International Relations & Politics, School of Social Sciences and School of Pedagogical Sciences for the academic year 2013-14.

Eligibility

• Candidates who possess the approved minimum qualification are eligible to apply.
• Candidates awaiting final year results can also apply.

• The duly filled-up applications along with registration fee (challan/pay-in-slip/receipt) and copies of documents should be sent to the Directors of The School concerned so as to reach on or before 8th November, 2013.

Selection Procedure The selection is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance test and interview in a proportion of 100:40:10 except for M.Phil. programs in the School of Social Sciences, School of Pedagogical Sciences and the School of Pure and Applied physics.

• For M.Phil programs in Social Sciences, selection shall be made giving weightage to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance test and interview in proportion 50:30:20 and for the M.Phil programs offered by the School of Pedagogical Science and School of Pure and Applied Physics, it shall be in the proportion 50:40:10.
