Science / Life Sciences / Mathematics / Odia / Physics / Political Science / Public Administration / Sociology / Statistics offered in regular mode and Computer Science offered in self-financing mode for the academic year 2014.

Eligibility

• Candidates holding master degree in subject concerned with 50% marks in aggregate or having secured an overall grade point average (OGPA) equivalent to 50% of marks by conversion are eligible to apply.
• Candidates who have appeared the qualifying examination and Results there of awaited are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply Candidates should download the challan form and deposit Rs.500/- in any branch of State Bank of India towards processing fee.

• Candidates can apply online and must send the print out of the application form to the respective Head of the Department, Sambalpur University, Jyoti Vihar-768019, Sambalpur (Odisha) along with the required documents which should reach by 20.11.2013.

Selection Procedure The selection of candidates is done based on the entrance test conducted by the university.

Selection Procedure The selection is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance test and interview in a proportion of 100:40:10 except for M.Phil. programs in the School of Social Sciences, School of Pedagogical Sciences and the School of Pure and Applied physics.

• For M.Phil programs in Social Sciences, selection shall be made giving weightage to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance test and interview in proportion 50:30:20 and for the M.Phil programs offered by the School of Pedagogical Science and School of Pure and Applied Physics, it shall be in the proportion 50:40:10.
