National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) is a premier institute of national and international repute in terms of capacity-building and research in the realm of rural development and related aspects. As part of endeavor to various research projects related to Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), NIRD propose to engage the services of dynamic and experienced persons purely on temporary basis for a period of Six Months for the following Research Project Positions for its Centre for Wage Employment and Poverty Alleviation (CWEPA), as per detailed requirement below :

Note:
a. There is no specific age limit but candidates below 60 years of age are preferable.
b. Excellent knowledge on Hindi is essential for all Project Positions
c. Acquaintance with Computer based data analysis techniques is desirable for all Positions
d. Exposure to qualitative data collection methods like PRA Techniques is desirable for all positions
e. The Project Positions are initially meant for Six months, however it can be extended further depending upon the performance and requirement of the project/ Institute.
f. The Project Positions require extensive travel to study area in Rajasthan and other States and the candidates may be expected to stay in the field for a period spanning over Two Weeks in a stretch

3. Nature of Engagement
The Project Positions are purely on temporary basis in Project Mode and do not entail any form of regular appointment at NIRD in future.
4. Candidates may kindly make of note of the following important details : Candidates appearing for Walk-in Interview must report at 9.30 AM on 11.11.2013 (Monday) at CWEPA, Library Building, NIRD and candidates reporting after 10.30 AM will not be considered for interview. Interview will start at 10.45 AM onwards. All candidates are requested to bring the copy of their Bio-data with passport size photograph affixed on it along with copies of certificates of age, educational qualifications etc. They will also be required to produce original of credentials for verification. In case of number of applicants are more, a Written Test can be organised on the spot for the position of Research Associates and only shortlisted candidates will be interviewed. Candidates for the position of Consultant must bring copies of their publications/ articles/ books, etc. They must be ready to make a presentation of 5 minutes duration before the Selection Committee and should bring the soft copy in CD or Pen Drive.

WALK IN INTERVIEW
It is proposed to fill up one post of Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at Central Institute
of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi on consolidated pay of ` 49,000/- per month on contract basis for a period of
one year or till the post is filled up on regular basis whichever is earlier. The period of contractual service
may be extended for another one year. Accordingly applications are invited from the desirous candidates.
Applications on plain paper either typed or handwritten along with bio-data two passport size photograph,
photocopy of the certificates of educational qualification, experience etc., may be submitted to the
undersigned before 21.11.2013. After submission of application candidates have to turn up alongwith their
original certificates on the date of interview. No interview letter will be issued separately. In deserving
cases age and experience criteria may be relaxed and even retired person upto the age of 62 years may
be allowed to appear for interview. Experience in private sector may also be considered.

I. Essential Qualifications:
1. Masters Degree in Psychology of a recognized University or equivalent.
2. M.Phil (Medical & Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology) or Diploma in Medical & Social Psychology
(2 years course) from a recognized Institution or equivalent.
3. Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from a recognized university or equivalent.
4. 4 years teaching/research experience (including at least 2 years as Asst. Prof. of Clinical Psychology)
(The essential experience shall be relaxed from 4 years to 2 years as Asst. Professor of Clinical Psychology
at the discretion of Selection Committee if a person is found otherwise suitable).
Desirable:
1. Research/published work in Indexed journals.

DBT Fellowship Award under Initiative on the Neuro-Clinical Research Education (INCRE):2013-14
The Department is keen towards creating of a pool of trained clinical researchers in the area of Neuroscience. The shortfall of clinical researchers is a crisis that will heavily impact the research scenario of Neuroscience research. Recognizing this critical need for neuro-researchers, the Department has dedicated its HRD efforts towards investing in young clinicians with an aptitude and interest in neuro-clinical research. The main objective of this initiative is to facilitate hypothesis-driven research designed to address important issues in neuroscience by clinicians.
Towards that aim, DBT invites applications under its “Initiative on Neuro-Clinical Research Education (INCRE) fellowship. There would be up to ELEVEN fellowships initially for this financial year, of one year duration that may be extendable for another year on case to case basis, based on performance review. Each fellowship will consist of a consolidated stipend of Rs. 75,000/- pm and Rs. 5.00 lakhs for one year to support research at an institution of repute.
Applicant may be D.M./ M.Ch or MD- Psychiatry and interested in pursuing Neuroscience research along with clinical responsibility; and has completed residency within the past five years. Those early in their clinical career will be given priority.
ELIGIBILITY
Applications would be evaluated by a duly constituted committee. The award would be based on the following criteria:

• Applicant’s ability and promise as a clinician-scientist based on prior record of achievement and career plan, letters of reference, and curriculum vitae
• Research proposal including the hypothesis, scientific rationale, methodology, etc as per the format available on the DBT website.

2. A letter of nomination from the Department forwarded by the Head/Competent Authority of the Institute, including assurance that clinical service responsibilities will be restricted to no more than 20 percent of the fellow’s time.
3. A brief research plan as per the format
4. Two references for the applicant’s potential for clinical/academic research career and qualifications for the fellowship.
5. The candidate should identify a mentor from the host institute and obtain a letter from him/her detailing the support and commitment to the applicant and the proposed research and training plan. The letter should specifically indicate the mentor’s role in the development and preparation of the applicant’s research plan. Mentor’s CV should also be enclosed.
6. Letter of support from the host institution. Host institute should be duly recognized academic/research institution and willing to accept and extend necessary support to the candidate for the proposed research work.
