The Government of India has launched Aajeevika-National Rural Livelihoods Mission
(NRLM) under the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD). The mission aims at creating

Mission;
The Government of India has launched Aajeevika-National Rural Livelihoods Mission
(NRLM) under the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD). The mission aims at creating
efficient and effective institutional platforms of the rural poor enabling them to increase
household income through sustainable livelihoods and improved access to financial and
public services. To implement the mission, GoI has constituted National Rural
Livelihood Promotion Society (NRLPS) for Technical Assistance to all states. A
multidisciplinary professional team, National Mission Management Unit (NMMU) is
placed in NRLPS. This team consists of senior development professionals, experienced
consultants and young professionals. The details about NRLM and its structure can be

The mission’s portfolio is growing gradually. In this light, NRLM is expanding the NMMU
by identifying and placing one suitable young professional in Skills and Placement..

The minimum educational
requirement for the position is
Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma
in any Discipline from an
institute of national/
international repute.
Maximum age limit is 30 years.
S/he should not have more than
2 years of experience.
A combination of the following attributes will be
desirable-
S/he should have passion for working with poor,
S/he should have a commitment to undertake
grassroots level assignments and stay with rural
poor community,
S/he should have ability to work in/with teams,
S/he should have good academic career,
S/he should be proficient in Hindi and English,

based on performance and requirement of NMMU, contract may further be extended.

The minimum educational requirement for the
position is Graduate Degree/ Diploma in any
Discipline from an institute of national/international
repute.
S/he should have more than 10 years of relevant
experience.
Of this, at least 5 years of intense experience should be
in the domain applied -
Skills and Placement (ICT): e-tracking Skills and
Placement mobilization, training, placement and postplacement,
MIS, e-procurement and e-office etc.
The person should have strong
analytical skills; planning,
support, information and followup
ability; project management
skills; information management
skills; documentation and writing
skills; etc.
We look for a hardworking
learner-practitioner associate
with work experience in-
State/central government
programme(s) or any other
reputed large organisation
Human Resources: recruitment and selection,
performance management, OD and HR Management
Social Inclusion/Development: working with
women’s institutions and PRIs, especially on activity
mapping and strengthening Gram Sabhas.
Specific experience of working on Rights-based/social
justice-based issues and development is desirable.
IB and CB: Social Mobilization, Institution Building,
Participatory Processes, Nurturing Community Cadres,
Training and Capacity Building etc.
M&L, MIS/ICT: Monitoring and evaluation, MIS,
database management, e-processes, ICT for MIS, eoffice
etc.

Livelihoods/poverty
reduction programme at
scale; and/or
Programme/project targeting
and enhancing livelihoods of
poor.
Relevant training
programmes/courses will have
additional weightage.
