RELAXATIONS:
Age
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates and by
10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates. Those domiciled in the state of Jammu &
Kashmir from 1/1/80 to 31/12/89 will be allowed 5 years relaxation in upper age limit. For
departmental candidates the upper age limit shall be 45 years.
Qualification
For MT (Tech) : The SC/ST/PWD and Departmental Candidates having Engineering Degree in
the required disciplines with 55% marks (average of all semesters) shall be eligible to apply
For MT (Admn.) : The SC/ST/PWD and Departmental Candidates having Bachelor’s degree with
50% marks (average of all subjects) and MBA/PG Diploma in Management in the relevant
discipline with 50% shall be eligible to apply against HR and Materials disciplines.

The OBC candidates who belong to ‘Creamy layer’ are not entitled to OBC concession and such
candidates have to indicate their category as General. The OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates
are required to submit the requisite certificate in the prescribed format issued in the current
financial year by the competent authority at the time of Interview.
For Persons with Disability,20 posts are reserved across the streams on horizontal basis. It may
be noted that while the post of Management Trainees (Technical) is open only for
Orthopaedicallydisabled candidates, the post of Management Trainees (Administration) is open
to all categories of disabilities.
Category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) once entered in the online application form will not be allowed
to be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible lateron.
MEDICAL STANDARDS :
For Management Trainee (Technical)
Candidates should be of sound physique, free from any physical defect. Medical standards
stipulate minimum requirements of Weight 45 kg; Height 155 cm; Myopia and Hypermetropia,
if any, not to exceed ± 4.00 in each eye and no squint or colour blindness, partial or full.
Suitable relaxation in height and weight will be given to female candidates.
For Management Trainee (Administration)
Candidates should be of sound physique, free from any physical defect. Medical standards
stipulate minimum requirements of Weight 45 kg; Height 150 cm; Myopia and Hypermetropia,
if any, not to exceed ± 6.00 in each eye. Suitable relaxation in height and weight will be given to
female candidates.
SELECTION:
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a Written Examination, information for which
will be provided in the Admit card. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in
the Written Test will be intimated to appear for Group Discussion and Interview.
WRITTEN TEST :
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for objective type written test at any one of the
centres at Agartala, Allahabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bokaro,
Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi (NCR), Durgapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu,
Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Rourkela, Salem, Trichy, Vijaywada
and Visakhapatnam.
No request for change of examination centrewill be entertained after final submission of
application form. However, SAIL reserves the right to cancel or add any centre depending on
the response in that area/centre.
The written test for both the above mentioned posts will be held on the same day as per the
following schedule:
i) For MT(Technical) - In the Forenoon session
ii) For MT(Administration) - In the Afternoon session
Candidates can apply and compete for both or either of the above stated posts, subject to their
fulfilling the eligibility conditions prescribed for each. Those interested in competing for both
the posts will have to apply separately for each of the post with requisite fee and also will be
required to appear in the tests in both the sessions at the same centre.
The written test will have five segments; Domain knowledge test (duration 75 minutes) for 100
marks and Aptitude test (duration 75 minutes) consisting of four segments viz. Quantitative
aptitude, Verbal ability, Reasoning and General awareness of 25 marks each).
To be eligible for GD and Interview call, a candidate will have to qualify in each segment for the
respective discipline by scoring minimum 50 percentile marks.
GROUP DISCUSSION AND INTERVIEW:
From among those who qualify in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for Group
Discussion (GD) and Interview in the ratio of 1:4 for each discipline, category wise, in order of
merit.
A candidate has to qualify in the Interview for consideration for final selection, merit list for
which will be drawn by combining the scores of written test, GD and Interview with the
weightage of 60:20:20 in that order.
The GD and Interview may be held at short notice for which call letters will be uploaded on SAIL
website and candidates will be intimated for the same through their emails. No other
communication will be sent to the candidates for this purpose.
TRAINING & PROBATION:
Candidates selected as Management Trainees will be placed on training for one year. The
Management Trainees (Technical) will be registered as Apprentices under the provisions of
Apprentices Act, 1961. After successful completion of training, the candidates shall be placed
under probation for one year.
EMOLUMENTS:
The Management Trainees will be offered Basic Pay of Rs.20,600/- p.m. in the pay scale of
Rs.20600-3%-46500 (E-1).On successful completion of trainingof one year, the Management
Trainees will be designated as Junior Managers in the same scale of pay.
Besides Basic Pay, the MTs willalso be paid Dearness Allowance. They will also be entitled for
perquisites under cafeteria approach and benefits such as PF, Gratuity and other allowances as
per rules of the Company in vogue. The CTC would be around Rs. 7 lakhs p.a. In addition,
Company provides benefits like Leave encashment, housing/HRA and free medical facility for
self and dependents as per rules in vouge.
Being direct recruitment on initial basic, the Company will not bear any liability on account of
Salary/ leave salary/ pension contribution etc., of pervious employment, if any.
PLACEMENT :
If selected, the candidates can be posted to any Plant/Unit location of the Company. The
candidates will not be allowed to seek/ apply for transfer to any other plant/unit location of the
Company for initial four years of service. For departmental candidates this restriction will be for
initial two years.
HOW TO APPLY:
Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online only through SAIL’s
website: www.sail.co.in. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.
Before applying the candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility norms. Their
registration will be provisional as their eligibility will be verified only at the time of Interview.
Mere issue of admit card/Interview call letter will not imply acceptance of candidature.
Candidature of a registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment
process or even on joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or
not in conformity with the eligibility criteria at any stage.
Before registering their applications on the website the candidates should possess the
following:
a) Valid e-mail ID, which should remain valid for atleast one year.
b) Journal No./Transaction No., as a proof of having submitted examination fee of Rs.500/- for
General and OBC Candidates orRs.100/- as processing fee for SC/ST/ PWD/Departmental
candidates.
c) Candidates should have latest passport size photograph as well as photograph of signatures
in digital format (jpg or jpeg file only, of less than 500 kb size) for uploading with the
application form.
d) Candidates applying for both MT (Tech.) and MT (Admn.) should register separately with
separate application and processing fee and with separate email id.
After applying online, candidate is required to download the systemgenerated Provisional
Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details.
MODE OF PAYMENT OF APPLICATION/PROCESSING FEE :
Payment can be made through net-banking/credit card/debit card or through pay-in-slip.
PAYMENT THROUGH PAY IN SLIP
State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the application/processing fee, in a specially
opened account (No.32286155304) at CAG Branch, New Delhi, on behalf of SAIL. Candidate has
to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” which can be
downloaded from the SAIL website at Registration Portal after filling in the requisite details. The
pay-in-slip with the application no. should only be used for depositing the fee for proper
crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money the concerned branch of
SBI will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the branch collecting the money.
This Journal Number and the Branch Code are to be filled up by the candidate during online
registration. In case a candidate deposits the fee in a wrong account, or doesn’t finally submit
the application form with payment details, SAIL will not be responsible. Also, please note that
an amount of Rs.20/- will be paid by the candidate as Bank Charges to the collection branch of
SBI in addition to the applicable registration/ processing fee. The SBI branches will accept the
fee from 10.00 AM of the starting date to 5.00 PM of the closing date of submission of online
application.
The candidates will be provided opportunity to verify their payment status after reconciliation
on SAIL website and edit the payment details in case of wrong submission of Journal No. or
Branch Code. No request for issue of Admit card after closure of edit option will be entertained
and candidature will stand rejected.
Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore
requested to verify their eligibility before paying the application/processing fee and to fill in the
payment details carefully.
NET BANKING/CREDIT or DEBIT CARD PAYMENT
For this option no fee payment challan will be generated. The payment can be made by using
debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking online through the payment gateway made
available.Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates
After ensuring the correctness of the particulars of the application form, candidates are
required to pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application, following
the instructions available on the screen. No change/edit will be allowed thereafter.
On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form will be generated;
which may be printed for record.
If the online transaction is not successfully completed, please register again and make payment
online.
IMPORTANT :
All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only. All information
regarding examination schedule/admit card/ interview call letters etc. shall be provided
through email/uploading on SAIL website. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and
printing of admit card/interview call/ any other information shall be of the candidate. SAIL
will not be responsible for any loss of email sent, due to invalid/wrong email ID provided by
the candidate or for delay/not receipt of information if a candidate fails to access his/her
mail/website in time.
Candidates are not required to send any document to SAIL.The candidates will be allowed to
appear in the Written Test only if they possess the valid Photo Admit Cardwhich will be
available for downloading from the SAIL website as per schedule indicated below.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :
Candidates possessing full time degree course from Institutesapproved/recognized by
UGC/AICTE will only be eligible to apply.Only departmental candidates having
degree/diploma through correspondence/part time course from approved/recognized
institutes will be eligible to apply.
The term departmental candidates means those candidates who are currently working
with SAIL as permanent employees and not wards of SAIL employees.
While applying the candidates should enter their full name as it appears in the
matriculation/secondary certificate.
Wherever CGPA/OGPA or letter grade in a degree is awarded; equivalent percentage of
marks should be indicated in the online application form as per norms adopted by the
University/Institute.The candidate will have to produce a copy of these norms with
respect to his/her University/Institute at the time of Interview. Where no norms have
been specified, the CGPA/OGPA will be presumed to have been provided on a 10 point
scale.
If the PG Degree/Diploma in Management does not mention the area of specialization,
specialization in the area will be considered only if the candidate has studied at least
three subjects of the specialized course as elective subjects.
Those candidates, who are studying in final year (academic year 2012-13) and would be
expecting their final results by July, 2013can also apply. However, they will have to
produce the final certificate of eligibility qualification at the time of Interview; otherwise
their candidature will not be entertained.
Candidates employed in Govt. departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies are required to
produce NOC at the time of interview.
The SC/ST/OBC/PWD certificate should be as per the format available on SAIL website. If
the certificate has been issued in a language other than English/Hindi, the candidates
will be required to submit a self certified translated copy of the same either in English or
Hindi.
Candidates may visit the FAQs section on the SAIL website for any queries.
Candidates should retain their copy of Pay in Slip/Transaction slip and Registration
Slipas they can be asked to produce it for future reference.

1.
I am final year student/My final year/Semester result is not yet declared. Am I eligible to apply?
Ans.
Yes, those candidates who are studying in the final year (academic year 2012-13) and would be expecting their final results by July, 2013 can apply for the post(s). However, they will have to produce their final certificate of eligibility qualification at the time of interview.

Can a candidate having AMIE apply for MT (Tech) post?
Ans.
No, only departmental candidates of SAIL with AMIE /equivalent degree are eligible to apply in their respective discipline.
3.
My father is a SAIL employee, can I apply as departmental candidate?
Ans.
No, only the present regular employees of SAIL can apply as Departmental candidates.
4.
I’ve 65% marks in final semester and I belong to OBC category. Can I apply for the MT (Tech) post?
Ans.
As per criteria, General and OBC category candidates should have minimum 65% marks as average of all semesters. Merely having 65% marks in the final year/semester will not make one eligible for the post of MT (Technical).
5.
I have Honours degree at graduation level with 60% marks in Honours subjects, am I eligible to apply as general category candidate?
Ans.
Even in case of those having Honours degree, the calculation of 60% marks will be based on average of all subjects. A candidate having 60% marks based on honours subjects only will not be considered as eligible for the post.
6.
The average of all semesters of my engineering degree is 64.75%, can I apply for MT (Tech) post as general candidate?
Ans.
No. the minimum marks has to be 65% and not less than that. The rounding off principle will not be accepted for the minimum eligibility marks for any respective discipline or category.
7.
I’ve entered the wrong Email-Id/category and I want to change it. Is it possible?
Ans.
The personal details, once entered and submitted cannot be changed; you have to register again with the correct email –Id/category.
8.
My current residential address is temporary and it is likely to be shifted soon, so which address, I should provide?
Ans.
It is advisable to furnish the permanent address, providing temporary addresses can lead to inconvenience while delivering the appointment letter, if selected.
9.
I’ve completed Dual Degree course (B.Tech+M.Tech/B.Tech+MBA), am I eligible to apply?
Ans.
Yes, A candidate with dual degree is eligible to apply, provided he/she has the minimum marks.
10.
My institute awards CGPA instead of percentage marks and there is no conversion formula as per university to convert CGPA into percentage marks. What shall I do?
Ans.
If CGPA is from 10 point scale, than multiply it by 10 to get percentage marks.
11.
Can I get last years question paper or sample questions?
Ans.
SAIL does not provide last year’s question paper or sample question, however few sample questions will be displayed in the test guidelines which would be available in the admit card.
12. Is there any restriction on number of times a candidate can appear for
SAIL Management Trainee exam?
Ans. No, there is no restriction on number of attempts a candidate can make for
selection as MT in SAIL, provided he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria for the
particular year.
13. Will SAIL refund the registration amount in case my candidature is
rejected due to any reason?
Ans. No, Registration amount once deposited is not refundable for any reason.
14. I want to apply for both MT (Tech) and MT (Admn), can I do it?
Ans. Yes, a candidate can apply for both MT (Tech) and MT (Admn), if he/she has
eligibility for both. For this purpose a candidate has to register for both the
posts with separate registration fee and separate email ids.
15. Can I apply for two disciplines of MT Tech/Admn?
Ans. While a candidate can appear for both MT (Tech) and MT (Admn), it is not
possible to apply for more than one discipline within one stream. For example,
a candidate can’t apply for both marketing and HR within MT (Admn) or for
Electrical and Instrumentation within MT (Tech).
16. Where the registration slip is to be sent?
Ans. The candidates are not required to send any document after registration.
However, the candidates are advised to retain the Registration slip as well as
Pay-in-Slip as the same can be demanded for verification purpose at any time
during the course of recruitment process.
17. I have more than 60% marks in MBA, but 58% marks in graduation
degree. I belong to general category, am I eligible to apply?
Ans. No. For the post of MT (Admn) a General/OBC category candidates should have
minimum 60% marks both in graduation as well as MBA degree.
18. I have done MBA with specialisation In Finance. Am I eligible for MT
(Finance)?
Ans. No. For Finance Discipline, candidates with CA/ICWA qualification are only
eligible to apply.
19. What precautions should I take in payment process ?
Ans. While making payment through bank and while filling up the general no. in the
application form, following precautions need to be taken by each candidate :
a) Candidate should only use the system generated Pay-in-Slip, which will
be available for download, once a candidate fills in all his/her details for
making payment.
b) Each system generated pay-in-slip has a unique application no. The
candidate should ensure that the Bank official enters that application no.
in their system while generating the unique journal no.
c) Ensure that the journal no. given by the Bank is legible and there is no
ambiguity about any digit of that number.
d) While feeding the journal no. in the application form, double check it
from the pay-in-slip to ensure correct entry.
e) Recheck the journal no and the branch code in the registration slip. The
system will provide option to edit the payment details during the
registration process and also after payment reconciliation with the bank.
If you have made any mistake in entering the details use the
opportunity to correct your details. If your entry is matching with the
no. mentioned in the pay-in-slip and still your name appears in the
discrepancy list, pl. contact the issuing branch for the corrective action
at their end.
f) SAIL will not be responsible for any amount submitted in wrong account
or against wrong name/application no. or for wrong/not submission of
payment details.
20.
Can I approach the associate banks of SBI with the pay in slip and deposit the amount there?
Ans.
No, you have to approach to the nearest SBI bank only to deposit the registration amount. No other associate bank of SBI is authorised to collect the registration amount.
21.
My MBA degree doesn’t mention specialization, how can I apply against particular specialization?
Ans.
If the PG Degree/Diploma in Management does not mention the area of specialization, specialization in the area will be considered only if the candidate has studied at least three subjects of the specialized course as elective subjects
22.
I want to change my choice of centre, can I do it?
Ans.
A candidate is allowed to change his/her choice of centre till the online application window is open. For that a candidate has to re-login and make the necessary changes. It may be noted that system will only allow change in choice of centre, other details once entered cannot be changed.

All the vacancies under limited recruitment for the post code no. 42 will be filled with
the local candidates of the respective zone only.
2. This recruitment is being made as per the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh State
Prosecution Service Rules, 1992 issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in G.O. Ms.
No 188 Home (Courts.C) Department dated 30-03-1992 and the amendments thereon.
3. The quota earmarked for physically handicapped persons in the said rules, shall,
however, be filled in only by orthopaedically handicapped persons whose speech, hearing and
sight are not impaired.

4. The recruitment is being made to the posts of Assistant Public Prosecutors in Andhra
Pradesh State Prosecution Service on zonal basis and it is subject to out come of S.L.P. Nos.
28458-60 of 2008 and other SLPs/WPs/OAs pending, if any.
5. Relaxation in upper age limit (as given in para 8 (A) (b) (i)) and / or reservation
to ‘BC-E group’ or ‘any category in BC-E group’ will be subject to the adjudication of
the litigation pending before the Honourable Courts.
6. Government have issued in G.O.Ms.No. 3, Backward Classes Welfare (C2)
Department dated 04-04-2006, laying down the criteria to determine Creamy Layer
among Backward Classes in order to exclude from the provisions of reservations.
Government of Andhra Pradesh has adopted all the criteria to determine the Creamy
Layer among Backward Classes as fixed by the Government of India. The Government
of Andhra Pradesh have fixed the annual income limit at Rs. 4,00,000/-.
a) The candidates belonging to Backward Classes should submit the Community
certificate in the format given in Annexure - III to avail relaxation in age. The
certificate must have been issued by the competent revenue authority in terms of G.O.
Ms. No. 58 SW (J) Dept., dated 12-05-1997.
b) Only those candidates belonging to Backward Classes who do not belong to ‘Creamy
layer’ as defined in G.O.Ms.No. 3, Backward Classes Welfare (C2) Department dated
04-04-2006 will be eligible to avail reservation. They should submit the certificate in
the format given in Annexure - IV regarding their exclusion from the Creamy Layer
from the competent authority (Tahasildar) along with the Community certificate in the
format given in Annexure - III.
c) Candidates belonging to Backward Classes who belong to ‘Creamy layer’ are eligible
to avail relaxation in age but not the quota for reservation. They should submit the
Community certificate in the format given in Annexure - III.
7. The requisite educational qualification, experience, age and procedure to be followed
for selection are given below. The candidates must read the instructions given in this
notification as well as “instructions for filling the application form” (issued along with the
application form) carefully in their own interest.

8. Eligibility Conditions:
A. Age Limit:
a)
i) For post code no. 41: A candidate must not have attained the age of 35
years as on 1st July, 2013 i.e., he/ she must have been born not earlier than
2nd July, 1978.
ii) For post code no. 42: A candidate must not have attained the age of 33
years as on 1st July, 2013 i.e., he/ she must have been born not earlier than
2nd July, 1980.
b) The upper age limit prescribed in para (a) above will be relaxable as under;
i) upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Backward Class
or a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe
ii) upto a maximum of ten years if a candidate is Orthopaedically
Handicapped Person
iii) length of regular service limited upto a maximum of five years if a
candidate is an employee of A.P. State Government (Employees of
APSEB, APSRTC, Corporations, Municipalities, Local bodies etc. are not
entitled for age relaxation)
iv) three years in addition to the length of service rendered in the Army, Naval
or Air Force of the Union for the candidates who served in the Armed
Forces
v) three years in addition to the length of service rendered as a whole time
Cadet Corps Instructor in NCC provided the candidate rendered a
minimum service of 6 months as a whole time Cadet Corps Instructor in
NCC.
vi) upto a maximum of three years if a candidate is a retrenched temporary
employee in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6
months during 1991
Save as provided above, the age limits prescribed can in no case be relaxed.

NOTE: The date of birth accepted by the SLPRB is that entered in the Secondary School
Certificate or Matriculation or an equivalent examination certificate. No other document
relating to age like horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporation, service
records and the like will be accepted.
B. Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidate must possess, as on the date of
notification i.e., 08-03-2013, a Bachelor degree in any subject along with a Bachelor’s
Degree in Law awarded by any University in India, established or incorporated by or under a
Central Act, Provincial Act or a State Act or of any Institution recognised by the University
Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification. The candidates who have passed
five year course in law after Intermediate are also eligible
C. Experience:
i) For post code no. 41: The candidate must have practiced as an advocate for
not less than seven (7) years as on date of notification i.e., 08-03-2013.
ii) For post code no. 42: The candidate must have practiced as an advocate for
not less than three (3) years active practice in Criminal Courts in the State
as on date of notification i.e., 08-03-2013.
Note: As per sub section 9 of Section 24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the
period during which a person has been in practice as a Pleader or has rendered (whether
before or after the commencement of this Code) service as a Public Prosecutor or as an
Additional Pubic Prosecutor or Asst. Public Prosecutor or other Prosecuting Officer, by
whatever name called, shall be deemed to be the period during which such person has been in
practice as an advocate.
D. Medical Standards:
i) The candidate should possess sound health and be free from any bodily defect
or infirmity which will render him unfit for service
ii) Candidates whose speech or hearing or sight are impaired are not eligible for
service

9. Application forms: Candidates must apply in the Application Form devised by the
Board for the examination, which can be download from website www.apstatepolice.org in
the recruitment folder. They are requested to go through the notification thoroughly and it is
available on the website. The application form and notification are not issued from the
respective range offices.
10. LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Eligible candidates should
submit duly filled in application form along with the copies of the necessary certificates and
prescribed fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees hundred only) through crossed Demand Draft drawn on
any nationalised bank by Registered Post at any of the places mentioned below on or
before 27-04-2013 by 1700 hours. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of the

14. CANDIDATES TO ENSURE THEIR ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EXAMINATION: The
candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility
conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all the stages of the
examination will be purely provisional and subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility
conditions
Mere issue of identity card to the candidate will not imply that his/her
candidature has been finally cleared by the Board.
The board will take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to
original documents only after the candidate has finally qualified.
15. Selection Procedure/Scheme: The Selection Procedure/Scheme of the Exam will be
as follows:
A) Written Examination: Candidates will be required to appear for a written examination in
two papers (each of three hours duration). Both papers will be set in English language only.
The syllabus is given in Annexure I. The date of written examination is proposed to be on
09-06-2013 from 0900 hours to 1200 hours for Paper I and from 1400 hours to 1700
hours for Paper II.

iii) The minimum marks to be secured by candidates in order to qualify in
the written examination is 40% for OCs; 35% for BCs; and 30% for SCs and STs. in each
paper.
B) Interview:
i) For post code no. 41: The candidates shall be called for interview in the ratio
of 1:2 with reference to the number of vacancies based on their marks in
written examination out of 400 (200 in paper I and 200 in paper II) duly
following the special representation as laid down in Rule 22 and sub rule 2 of
Rule 22-A of Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules. As per the
provisions of “The Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organisation of
Local cadres and regulation of direct recruitment) Order, 1975”, the rule of
reservation to local candidates is not applicable. Interview will carry a
maximum of 25 marks.
ii) For post code no. 42: The candidates shall be called for interview in the ratio
of 1:2 with reference to the number of vacancies based on their marks out of
400 (200 in paper I and 200 in paper II) duly following the special
representation as laid down in Rule 22 and sub rule 2 of Rule 22-A of Andhra

ii) For post code no. 42: The final selection will be strictly on relative merit of the
candidates in each category, obtained by them based on their total score in the
written examination in papers I and II (400 marks) and interview (25 marks) duly
following the special representation as laid down in Rule 22 and sub rule 2 of
Rule 22-A of Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules and as per para
4 above. As per G.O. Ms. No. 124 General Administration (SPF.A) Dept., dated
07-03-2002 while filling up the vacancies, the first 30% of posts should be filled
following combined merit list of locals and non-locals and thereafter, the
remaining 70% of the posts shall be filled up by locals only.
When two or more candidates in a particular category obtain equal marks, preference
will be given to the candidate who was born earlier.
16. Reservation to local candidates: Reservation to local candidates is applicable as
provided in the Rules and as amended from time to time as in force on the date of notification.
The candidates claiming reservation as local candidates should enclose the required Study
certificates (from IV class to X class or SSC). Residence Certificate in the proforma only
should be enclosed for those candidates who have not studied in any Educational Institutions.
Definition of local candidate:
(i) “Local Candidate” means a candidate for direct recruitment to any post in relation to that
Local area where he/she has studied in Educational Institution(s) for not less than four
consecutive academic years prior to and including the year in which he/she appeared for SSC
or its equivalent examination. If however, he/she has not studied in any educational
institution during the above four years period, it is enough if he/she has resided in that area
which is claimed as his/her local area during the above said period.

(ii) In case the candidate does not fall within the scope of the above it will be considered if
he/she has studied for a period of not less than seven years prior to and inclusive of the year
in which he/she has studied for the maximum period out of the said period of seven years and
where the period of his/her study in two or more local areas are equal such local area where
he/she has studied last (in such local area) will be taken for determining the local candidature.
Similarly, if he/she has not studied during the above said period in any Educational
Institution(s) the place of residence during the above period will be taken into consideration
and local candidature determined with the reference to the maximum period of residence or in
the case of equal period where he/she has resided last.
(iii) If the claim for local candidature is based on study, the candidate is required to produce a
certificate from the Educational Institution (s) where he /she has studied during the said 4/7
year period Annexure-II (A). If, however, it is based on residence, a certificate should be
submitted as prescribed in Annexure-II (B) obtained from an officer of the Revenue
Department not below the rank of a Mandal Revenue Officer in independent charge of a
Mandal.
(iv) If, however, a candidate has resided in more than one Mandal during the relevant
four/seven years period but within the same Zone separate certificates from the Mandal
Revenue Officers exercising jurisdiction has to be obtained in respect of different areas.
Note: a) Single certificate, whether of study or residence would suffice for enabling the
candidate to apply as a “Local Candidate”
b) Residence certificate will not be accepted, if a candidate has studied in any
educational institution upto SSC or equivalent examination. Such candidates have to produce
study certificates only invariably. The candidates, who acquired Degree from Open
Universities without studying SSC/Matriculation or equivalent in educational institutions,
have to submit residence certificate only.

17. Board will take finger prints of both left and right thumb of the candidates and photo
at the time of attending written examination for each paper.
18. The selection of the candidates will be provisional and subject to verification of the
original certificates, antecedents and medical examination.
19. Antecedents verification: No person shall be eligible for appointment to any service
by direct recruitment unless he satisfies the selection authority as well as the appointing
authority that his character and antecedents are such as to qualify him for such service.
20. Suppression of material facts or withholding any factual information either in the
application or in the attestation form (which would be supplied to the candidates who
provisionally qualify for interview) will disqualify the candidate from being considered for
appointment. In the event of any information being found false or incorrect or ineligibility
being detected at any time even after appointment, he/she will be discharged from service
forthwith by the appointing authority without giving any notice.
21. Scale of pay: (a) For Post Code No. 41: Rs. 23,650 – 49,360/-

22. The employees who are appointed on or after 01-09-2004 are covered by the
Contributory Pension Scheme. The existing Pension Scheme as per A.P. Revised Pension
Rules, 1980 will not be applicable to them.
