Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from
the designated districts of State of Gujarat to become airmen. The Recruitment Test
for Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades will be held at Maharaja Sayajirao University
Pavalion, Vadodara (Gujarat) from 26 February 2013 to 01 March 2013 as per the
Selection Programme given below.
2. SELECTION PROGRAMME. The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7AM
onwards as per the details given below. Candidates reporting upto 10AM at the Rally
venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Rally.
Note : - The Recruitment Test is not for selection as Officers/Pilots/Navigators.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
3. DATE OF BIRTH BLOCK. Candidates should be born between 01 JANUARY 1992 to
31 MARCH 1996 (both days inclusive).
4. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
(a) Candidate should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination
with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
(b) Candidate should have passed a three year Diploma Course in Engineering
(Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or
Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks
in overall aggregate from a Government recognised Polytechnic Institute.
Note : - Exact aggregate percentage of marks up to first place of decimal for all subjects as
mentioned in the Marks Sheet of Intermediate or 10+2/equivalent (For example, 49.9%
should NOT be rounded off to 50%).
5. DOMICILE REQUIREMENT To be eligible to appear in the rally at Maharaja Sayajirao
University Pavalion, Vadodara (Gujarat) the candidates are required to satisfy the
following conditions:- (a) Should have passed the qualying examination from any of the
RECOGNISED BOARDS/UNIVERSITY. (b) The School/College/Polytechnic Institute from
where candidates have passed the qualifying examination should be within the
geographical/administrative limits of designated districts of State of Gujarat. If the name
of District is not mentioned with the name of Institution in the certificate/marks sheets of
qualifying examination, the candidates are to produce 'Domicile Certificate' issued by
SDM/DM/Executive Magistrate or any official authorised by the State Government
of Gujarat. (c) Permanent Domicile of the designated Districts of the State of Gujarat
who have passed the qualifying examination from anywhere in India. However, such
candidates have to produce the Domicile Certificate prior to commencement of
examination from appropriate authority as given in sub-paragraph (b) above.(d) Sons
of Serving/Retired/Discharged/Deceased Air Force Personnel, irrespective of their domicile
status may be permitted to appear in the rally subject to submission of Son of Air Force
Personnel Certificate as a proof in the following categories:- (i) Father/Mother is presently
serving in any Air Force Unit located in the designated districts (as mentioned in Paragraph
2 above) of State of Gujarat. (ii) Ex-IAF personnel/families of deceased personnel who
are residing in the designated districts (as mentioned in Paragraph 2 above) of State of
Gujarat (on production of proof of minimum stay of one year and Original and
one photo copy of discharge book).
6. MEDICAL STANDARS
((a) General Medical Standars for Group 'X' (Technical) trades are as follows: -
(i) Height: Minimum height required is 152.5 cms. (ii) Chest: Minimum range of expansion
is 5 cm. (iii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age. (iv) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK)
is not acceptable. (v) Hearing: Candidates should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear
forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately. (vi) Dental: Should
have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
(vii) Health: Candidates should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be
free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidates must be physically and
mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of world, in any climate and terrain.

7. WRITING MATERIALS AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED. Candidates are to bring the following
documents and writting materials along with them while coming for the examination:-
(a) HB Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener, Gum tube, Stapler and Black/Blue Ball Point Pen
for writting. (b) Seven copies of recent (taken on or after 15 November 2012)
passport-size colour photograph (front portrait, without headgear except for Sikhs).
Photographs should be only on good quality “photo paper” with Light Background. (c)
Two unstamped self addressed 24x10 cm white envelopes of good quality. (d) Original
and three photostat copies of all educational certificates, marks sheets and Domicile
Certificate as well as NCC certificates (if applicable). UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
THE CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO APPEAR IN THE SELECTION
TEST WITHOUT ORIGINAL MATRICULATION PASS CERTIFICATE, INTERMEDIATE
MARKS SHEETS, INTERMEDIATE PASS CERTIFICATE AND DOMICILE
CERTIFICATE. HOWEVER, CANDIATES WITH PHOTOCOPIES OF MATRICULATION
PASS CERTIFICATE, INTERMEDIDATE MARKS SHEETS AND INTERMEDIATE PASS
CERTIFICATE CAN BE PERMITTED TO APPEAR IN THE SELECTION TEST ONLY
ON PRODUCTION OF A CERTIFICATE FROM SCHOOL / COLLEGE PRINCIPAL
CERTIFYING THAT EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATES / MARKS SHEETS ARE
DEPOSITED WITH SCHOOL / COLLEGE. (e) Consent Form: Candidates are to bring
the "Consent Form" (as per the format given in IAF Web site) and submit it before PFT.
In case candidates below 18 years of age the Consent Form is required to be filled and
signed by their parent/guardian.
9. PAY & ALLOWANCES. During training, a stipend of Rs. 8,550/-per month will be
paid. On completion of training, starting gross emoluments including Dearness
Allowance (DA), at the minimum of scale of pay for Group ‘X’ (Technical)
trades will be Rs. 21,414/-per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years,
may rise up to Rs. 37,788/-per month (approximately) as per sixth pay commission
depending upon the rank attained. Other allowances such as transport, Composite
personal maintenance allowance, Family planning allowance, GCB+Class pay, HRA
etc are also admissible to airmen.

8. TENURE & TRAINING. Enrolment is for an initial period of 20 years extendable upto the
age of 57 years. Initially candidates will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT)
for 12 weeks at Basic Training Institute, Belgaum (Karnataka). On successful completion
of JBPT, candidates will be allocated trades and sent for Trade Training of specified
duration. Training is however liable to be terminated at any time trainee fails to achieve the
required standards in academics, profession, physical fitness and discipline or is found
to be medically unfit. After successful completion of training, the airmen will be
deployed on ground based jobs as per their trades

10. PERQUISITES. Perks such as Ration, Clothing, Medical Facilities,
accommodation, CSD Canteen Facilities, Leave (60 days Annual and 30
days Casual leave admissible as priviledge), Education Concession to
children, Recreational Facilities, Free Transport for school going children
and Leave Travel Concession (LTC). Not withstanding the above, Group
Insurance Cover of Rs.25,00,000/- at a premium of Rs.1,730/- per month, is covered
for all airmen and facility of Group Housing Scheme is also extended. Other facilities
by Air Force Wives Welface Association (AFWWA) are also extended for family
of airmen.
11. POST-RETIREMENT BENEFITS. Pension, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health
Scheme, Gratuity, Leave Encashment and Canteen facilities comprise some
of the post-retirement benefits. Specialised pre-release courses are also
arranged to enable airmen to take up post retirement careers. In addition,
airmen also get relaxation in age and reservation in Government services as Exservicemen.


12. JOB SPECIFICATION. Group 'X' (Technical) trades involve jobs as given
below:
(a) Automobile Fitter. In this trade you are responsible for maintenance and repair
of all types of light and heavy duty mechanical vehicles, cranes and loading equipment
etc. (b) Electronics Fitter. As an Electronics Fitter you operate and maintain Radar,
Voice and Data transmission and reception equipment mounted on latest airborne
weapon delivery systems and ground based air defence systems. You will get
trained in Digital Electronics, measuring instruments, radar technology, latest electronic
devices and related trade fundamentals. (c) Electrical Fitter. You will maintain
power supply system of latest types of aircraft, airborne missiles and associated
ground systems. You will also maintain photo equipment mounted on air borne
weapon systems and operate ground based photo systems. You will get trained in
electrical trade, operation and maintenance of digital devices, electronics devices
etc. (d) Mechanical System Fitter. You will repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic
and pneumatic systems of airborne missiles, engines, automobiles aircraft fuelling
equipment. Complete aircraft ground support equipment will also be repaied and
mainted by you. You will be trained in handling and preparation of bombs and
explosives and in electrical system, workshop and mechanical trades as well as
automobile mechanics. (e) Structures Fitter. As Structures Fitter you are
responsible for the maintenance and servicing of airframes and their accessories,
components and controls of aircraft. Regular checks for the entire hydraulic and
pneumatic system to ensure proper functioning against leaks are also part of your
duties. You will also be assigned the responsibility of marshalling, parking, picketing
and ground handling of aircraft. (f) Propulsion Fitter. In this trade you will repair,
maintain and prepare for use the propulsion system of aircraft and other airborne
weapon delivery system. (g) Workshop Fitter (Smith). You will undertake major
structural repairs of all aircraft at central repair facilities. You will also be trained in
workshop trade for material treatment, welding, heat treatment, smithy and basic
machine tools etc. (h) Workshop Fitter (Mechanical). You will undertake repair
and maintenance work of mechanical nature. You will be trained in workshop trade
and practices. (j) Weapon Fitter. In this trade, you will prepare, maintain and
service armaments, ammunition and safety equipment of aircraft, missiles and other
weapon delivery systems. You will also operate and maintain small arms and bomb
destruction equipment. You will be trained to handle bombs, explosives, arms and
their installation on weapon delivery platforms.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
13. VERIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY. Certificates / Mark Sheets and other required
documents {NCC 'A', 'B' or 'C' Certificate, Son of Air Force Personnel
Certificate (SOAFP)} etc will be scrutinized and verified at the examination prior to
commencement of Written Test to ascertain the prima-facie eligibility. Detailed
verification will be carried out in respect of candidates who pass Written Test later.
SEQUENCE OF EXAMINATION
14. WRITTEN TEST. Written test will be objective type and question paper will be
bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English Paper. Duration of the written test will
be 60 minutes and will be conducted in English, Physics and Mathematics as
per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE. CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER
SEPARATELY. Results of the written test will be declared on the same day.
15. PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST (PFT) . All candidates who pass the written test are to
undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on the same or the next day. PFT consists
of a 1.6 Km run to be completed within 8 minutes. Candidates completing the PFT
in less than 7 minutes 30 seconds will be awarded additional marks on a sliding
scale. Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts.
16. INTERVIEW. Candidates who have passed the written test and PFT will be
interviewed. Interview is normally conducted in English. Working Knowledge of
English is thus essential.
17. TRADE ALLOCATION TEST (TAT). Candidates of Group 'X' (Technical) trades who
qualify in interview are to undergo Trade Allocation Test (TAT) for bifucation into
Mechanical and Electronic stream. Specific trade allotment within these streams will
be carried out at Basic Training Institute (BTI), Air Force Station Belgaum (Karnataka).
18. MEDICAL EXAMINATION . Candidates who qualify in the interview will be medically
examined. Medical Examination will be conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per
Indian Air Force medical standards. Candidates declared Medically Unfit can avail the
option for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) against their Unfitness by depositing Rs. 40/-
in a Government Treasury/RBI/SBI through Military Receivable Order (MRO). The
application for AMB along with original copy of MRO, Xerox copy of Unfitness Certificate
and Postal Stamp worth Rs. 25/- affixed on a self addressed envelope are to be
submitted to 6 Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force Station Cotton Green,
Mumbai (Maharashtra), for processing within seven working days from the date
of issue of Medical Certificate.
Note: Candidates are also advised to get tartar and stains removed from
their teeth before appearing for the written test. Ears should be free of
wax. Candidates should be prepared to stay for the test for four to five
days under their own arrangements. No TA/DA will be admissible.
19. PUBLISHING OF ALL INDIA SELECT LIST (AISL). The All India Select List (AISL),
will be displayed at 6 Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force Station Cotton
Green, Mumbai (Maharashtra) on 30 APRIL 2013. A copy of the Display List will
be sent to District Magistrate Vadodara (Gujarat) through Airmen Selection Centre
and also will be available at Indian Air Force website www.indianairforce.nic.in. The
inclusion of names of the candidates in the AISL depends upon the performance of
the candidates in the Rally.

1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA : (AS ON 01.01.2013)
(A) Essential Academic Qualifications:
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as

Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.01.2013 i.e candidates must have been born not
earlier than 02.01.1983 and not later than 01.01.1992 (both days inclusive)
Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates
Upper age is relaxable by
(i) 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.
(ii) 5 years in the case of : (a) SC/ST candidates. (b) Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned
Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) who have rendered at least five years continuous
Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose
assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or

invalidment (c) Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of the State of
Jammu and Kashmir between 1st January, 1980 and 31st December, 1989.
(iii) 10 years for VH/OH (Gen); 13 years for VH/OH (OBC) and 15 years for VH/OH (SC/ST) candidates.

2. Notes for Orthopaedically Handicapped (OH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates:
OH/VH Candidates who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability should possess disability
certificate issued by Medical Board duly constituted by Central or State Government issued on or before
last date of online submission of application:
a) Only those OH candidates who have locomotor disability or cerebral palsy with locomotor impairment
of minimum of 40% and only those who fall in the following categories are eligible to apply:
BL - Both legs affected but not arms
OA - One arm affected (R or L) - (a) Impaired reach;
(b) weakness of grip;
(c) ataxia
OL - One leg affected (R or L)
MW - Muscular weakness and limited physical endurance
b) Only those Visually handicapped persons who suffer from any one of the following conditions are
eligible to apply :
i) Total absence of sight.
ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses.
iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees or worse.
c) Candidates having low vision as defined in Chapter I, Para 2 (u) of The persons with Disabilities (Equal
opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.
d) At the time of written examination, only blind/low vision candidates and those candidates whose
writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use scribe/ writer at his/her own cost. In all such cases
where a scribe/writer is used, the following rules will apply :
i) The candidate will have to arrange his/her own scribe/writer at his/her cost.
ii) Scribe/writer must be essentially one grade lower in educational qualification than the minimum
eligibility educational qualifications of the candidate (i.e. graduation in this recruitment), thus the
qualification of scribe/ writer should not be more than XIIth standard pass.
iii) Both the candidate as well as the scribe/writer will have to give a suitable undertaking, confirming
that the scribe/writer fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe/ writer as mentioned
above. Further, in case it later transpires that he/she did not fulfil any of the laid-down eligibility
criteria or suppressed material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective
of the result of the written examination.
iv) Only those candidates who use a scribe/writer shall be eligible for extra time of 20 minutes and/
or part thereof for every hour of the examination provided that the candidate uses scribe/ writer
for both the objective and descriptive test.

4. SELECTION PROCEDURE:
(a) Phase-I: Written Examination (250 marks) consisting of Objective Tests and Descriptive Test.
(i) Objective Tests (200 marks): The Objective Tests with 2 hour duration will consists of 4 Sections
with 50 marks each as follows:
(a) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
(b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
(c) Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation
(d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The candidates are required to qualify in the Objective Tests by securing passing marks, in
each of the tests, to be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing
candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level for each category.


(ii) Descriptive Test (50 marks): The Descriptive Test with 1 hour duration will be of “Test of English
Language (comprehension, short prรฉcis, letter writing & essay)”.
The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be
decided by the Bank.
Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying
marks in the Objective Tests as stated above in (i).
(b) Phase-II: Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)
The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be
arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to 3 times
the number of vacancies in each category, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying
marks in Group Discussion & Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
(c) Final Selection:
The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately.
Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks maximum) are converted to out of
75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks maximum) are converted to out
of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group
Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked
candidates in each category.
Results of the candidates who have qualified for Phase II and thereafter, the list of candidates finally
selected will be available on the Bank’s website. Final select list will be published in Employment News/
Rozgar Samachar.

6. EMOLUMENTS:
PAY: The starting basic pay is Rs 16,900/- (with 4 increments) in the scale of Rs 14500-600/7-18700-700/
2-20100-800/7-25700 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale I. The official will also be eligible for
D.A., H.R.A & C.C.A as per rules in force from time to time. The compensation per annum at Mumbai is
Rs.8,00,000/- plus. The break-up of monthly compensation is as under:

The salary scales are under revision with effect from November 2012.
CAREER PATH
The Probationary Officers will be on probation of two years during which they will be given intensive
training and towards end of their probation / training period, they will be subjected to a screening process.
While those Officers who achieve the predetermined standards may be confirmed and given placement in
the next higher grade i.e. Officer Middle Management Grade Scale II, others who qualify the test but fail
to achieve the standards set for placement in Middle Management Grade Scale II, will be confirmed as
Officer Junior Management Scale Grade I. The services of those Officers who fail to qualify in this process
will be terminated.

8. SBI may arrange pre-examination training at certain centres for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community
candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India. Candidates belonging to the
above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their own cost may indicate to that

10. HOW TO APPLY:
GUIDELINES FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION:
Candidates will be required to register themselves online first through Bank's website
www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in. After which candidates are required to pay the requisite
application fee through one of the following mode-
(i) Offline mode (the system will generate a cash voucher/ challan form pre-printed with the candidate's
details which will be required to be presented at any State Bank of India branch counter with the
requisite fee. On payment of the requisite fee through computer generated challan form, registration of
the online application will be complete).
(ii) Online mode (the payment can be made by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking).
Pre-requisites for Applying Online
Candidates should have valid email ID which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will help
him/her in getting call letter/interview advices etc. by email.
OPTION- I : PAYMENT OF FEE (OFFLINE):
i) Candidates should first scan their photograph and signature as detailed under guidelines for scanning
the photograph and signature.
ii) Candidates to visit Bank’s website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in and open the
appropriate Online Application Format, available in the 'Recruitment link'.
iii) Fill the application carefully. Once the application is filled in completely, candidate should submit the
data. In the event of candidate not able to fill the data in one go, he can save the data already entered.
When the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the
system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the registration number and
password. They can re-open the saved data using registration number and password and edit the
particulars, if needed. This facility will be available for three times only. Once the application is filled in
completely, candidate should submit the data and take a printout of the system generated fee payment
challan immediately. No change/ edit will be allowed thereafter. The registration at this stage is
provisional.
iv) Fee Payment: Fee will be accepted from 2nd working day after registration and can be made within
three working days at any branch of State Bank of India. System generated fee payment challan will
be used for depositing fee. Once fee is paid, the registration process is completed.
v) Candidate will receive registration confirmation by SMS/e-mail after three working days from the date
of payment of fees. Please ensure to furnish correct Mobile number / email address to receive the
registration confirmation.
vi) Three days after fee payment, candidates will also have a provision to reprint the submitted application
containing fee details. The printout of the application form and fee receipt should be retained with the
candidate. It will have to be submitted at the time of interview, if called for.
OPTION- II: PAYMENT OF FEES : [ONLINE] :
I. FOLLOW STEPS i) to iii) GIVEN UNDER OPTION-I ABOVE.
No fee payment challan will be generated. Fee payment will have to be made online through payment
gateway available thereat.
II. After ensuring the correctness of the particulars of the application form, candidates are required to pay
fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application, following the instructions available
on the screen. No change/edit will be allowed thereafter III. The payment can be made by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking by providing information
as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
IV. On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form will be generated; which
may be printed for record.
V. If the online transaction is not successfully completed, please register again and make payment online.
Note: There is also a provision to reprint the e-Receipt and Application form containing fee details, at later
stage.
The printout of the application form is not to be sent to the Bank.
11. GUIDELINES FOR SCANNING THE PHOTOGRAPH & SIGNATURE
Before applying online a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph
and signature as per the specifications given in Annexture-I.
Your online application will not be registered unless you upload your photo and signature as specified.
On uploading your photo and signature, as specified, your online application will be provisionally
registered.
Note:
a. In case the face in the photograph or signature is unclear, the candidate’s application may be rejected.
b. Candidates are advised to take a printout of their system generated online application forms after
submitting.
c. In case the photograph or signature is unclear, the candidate may edit his application and re-upload his
photograph or signature.
d. On-line registration of application & fee payment will be available from 30.01.2013 to 23.02.2013. Last
date for cash deposit will be 28.02.2013 for offline registration.
e. Candidates serving in Govt./Quasi Govt. offices, Public Sector undertakings including Nationalised

the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses,
if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.
f. In case of selection, candidates will be required to produce proper discharge certificate from the
employer at the time of taking up the appointment.
g. Caste certificate issued by Competent Authority on format prescribed by the Government of India to be
submitted by the SC/ST candidates, if called for interview.
h. Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under the 'CREAMY LAYER' are not entitled to OBC
reservation. They should indicate their category as 'GEN' or 'GEN PH' as applicable.
i. A declaration to be submitted in the prescribed format by candidates seeking reservation under OBC
category that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer as on 23.02.2013.
The OBC certificate containing the ‘Non-creamy layer’ clause, issued during the period 01.04.2012 to
31.03.2013, should be submitted by such candidates, if called for interview.
j) CALL LETTERS FOR WRITTEN EXAMINATION:
The candidates should download their call letter and an “acquaint yourself” booklet by entering
their registration number and password / date of birth, after 08.04.2013 from the Bank’s website.
NO HARD COPY OF THE CALL LETTER / ACQUAINT YOURSELF BOOKLET WILL BE SENT BY
POST.
Note: The candidates must bring one photo identity proof such as passport/Adhar/PAN Card/Driving
Licence/Voter’s Card/Bank Passbook with duly attested Photograph/Identity Card issued by School or
College/Gazetted Officer in the official letterhead in original as well as a self attested Photocopy
thereof. The photocopy of Identity proof should be submitted along with call letter to the invigilators
in the examination hall, failing which or if identity of candidates is in doubt the candidate will not
be permitted to appear for the test.
k) ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT:
Candidates are cautioned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered/
fabricated and they should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form.
At the time of written examination/interview, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:
(i) using unfair means during the examination or (ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any
person or (iii) misbehaving in the examination hall or (iv) resorting to any irregular or improper
means in connection with his/her candidature for selection or (v) obtaining support for his/her
candidature by any unfair means, such a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself/herself
liable to criminal prosecution, will also be liable :
a) to be disqualified from the examination for which he/she is a candidate
b) to be debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from any examination or recruitment
conducted by Bank.
Note: The Bank would be analysing the responses of a candidate with other appeared candidates
to detect patterns of similarity. On the basis of such an analysis, if it is found that the responses
have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine / valid, the Bank reserves the rights to
cancel his/her candidature.
l) USE OF MOBILE PHONES, PAGERS, CALCULATOR OR ANY SUCH DEVICES:
(a) Mobile phones, pagers or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the premises
where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail
cancellation of candidature and disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
(b) Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned item including mobile
phones/ pagers to the venue of the examination, as arrangement for safekeeping cannot be
assured.
(c) Candidates are not permitted to use or have in possession of calculators in examination premises.
m) GENERAL INFORMATION:
(i) Candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post applied for. The Bank
would admit to the written test all the candidates applying for the posts with the requisite fee on
the basis of the information furnished in the online application and shall determine their eligibility
only at the time of interview.
(ii) Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing date and not
to wait till the last date for depositing the fee to avoid the possibility of disconnection / inability
/ failure to log on to the website on account of heavy load on internet or website jam.
(iii) SBI does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their
applications within the last date on account of aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond
the control of SBI.
(iv) IN CASE IT IS DETECTED AT ANY STAGE OF RECRUITMENT THAT A CANDIDATE DOES NOT FULFIL
THE ELIGIBILITY NORMS AND / OR THAT HE / SHE HAS FURNISHED ANY INCORRECT / FALSE
INFORMATION OR HAS SUPPRESSED ANY MATERIAL FACT(S), HIS / HER CANDIDATURE WILL
STAND CANCELLED. IF ANY OF THESE SHORTCOMINGS IS / ARE DETECTED EVEN AFTER
APPOINTMENT, HIS /HER SERVICES ARE LIABLE TO BE TERMINATED.
(v) Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID alive for receiving advices, viz. call letters/
Interview advices etc.
(vi) Appointment of selected candidates is subject to his /her being declared medically fit as per the
requirement of the Bank concerned.
(vii) DECISIONS OF BANK IN ALL MATTERS REGARDING ELIGIBILITY, CONDUCT OF WRITTEN
EXAMINATION, OTHER TESTS AND SELECTION WOULD BE FINAL AND BINDING ON ALL
CANDIDATES. NO REPRESENTATION OR CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERTAINED BY THE
BANK IN THIS REGARD.
(viii) Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement
and/or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Mumbai and courts/tribunals/
forums at Mumbai only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any cause/dispute.



(i) PHOTOGRAPH IMAGE:
• Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture.
• The picture should be in colour, against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.
• Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face
• If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that
you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows
• If you have to use flash, ensure there’s no “red-eye”
• If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
• Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover
your face.
• Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
• Size of file should be between 20kb–50kb
• Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50KB. If the size of the file is more than
50KB, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours etc., during the
process of scanning.
(ii) SIGNATURE IMAGE:
• The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
• The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
• If the Applicant’s signature on the answer script, at the time of the examination, does not match the
signature on the Attendance Sheet, the applicant will be disqualified.
• Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)
• Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb
• Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB

SCANNING THE PHOTOGRAPH & SIGNATURE:
• Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch)
• Set Color to True Color
• File Size as specified above
• Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature, then use the upload editor to crop
the image to the final size (as specified above).
• The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is: image01.jpg or image01.jpeg Image
dimensions can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon.
Candidates using MS Windows/MS Office can easily obtain photo and signature in .jpeg format not
exceeding 50KB & 20KB respectively by using MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager. Scanned photograph
and signature in any format can be saved in .jpg format by using ‘Save As’ option in the File menu and size
can be reduced below 50KB (photograph) & 20KB (signature) by using crop and then resize option [Please
see point (i) & (ii) above for the pixel size] in the ‘Image’ menu. Similar options are available in other photo
editor also.
If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed.
While filling in the Online Application Form the candidate will be provided with a link to upload his
photograph and signature.
Procedure for Uploading the Photograph and Signature
(i) There will be two separate links for uploading Photograph and Signature
(ii) Click on the respective link “Upload Photograph / Signature”
(iii) Browse & Select the location where the Scanned Photo / Signature file has been saved.
(iv) Select the file by clicking on it.
(v) Click the ‘Upload’ button.
