Eligibility Criteria and other conditions

Sub-Inspector (Civil)

3. Education & Professional Qualification

Sub-Inspector (Civil)
Intermediate with 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Board / institution or university or
equivalent.

Constable (Pioneer)
1) Matriculation or equivalent from recognized Board.
2) One year experience in respective trades i.e. Masonry or Plumbing or Electrician.
3) Preference will be given to those having certificate of trade from recognized Industrial Training Institute.

proper channel along with “No Objection Certificate” from their employer as mentioned
in Appendix - B. Application received without proper channel and without “No
Objection Certificate” will be rejected.

9. The recruitment is on All India Basis





d) A five years relaxation to the Govt. servants will also be permissible in
accordance to the instructions issued by the Govt. from time to time who have
applied for the post of Sub-Inspector (Civil) only.
(The crucial date for determination of the age limit shall be the closing date for
receipt of the application from the candidates in India (and not the closing date
prescribed for those other than those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pardesh,
Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh division of Jammu &
Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi sub division of Chamba
District of Himachal Pardesh, Adaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep).
e) The Ex-Servicemen being trained soldier, only written Test and Medical fitness
test to ascertain medical category will be conducted. As per Govt. orders total
relaxation in prescribed physical standard and education is admissible.
Relaxation of upper age limit to the extent of military service plus 3 years is
applicable. No PET is required.
ii) HEIGHT
FOR SI/CIVIL ONLY
a) Minimum Height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis,
Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim,
Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam,
Himachal Pradesh & J&K will be 165 Cms.
b) The minimum height for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be
162.5 Cms.
FOR CT/PIONEER ONLY
c) Minimum Height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis,
Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Assam, Himachal
Pradesh & J&K will be 165 Cms.
d) The minimum height for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be
162.5 Cms.
e) Candidates hailing from the North-Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur,
Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura and candidates hailing from
Gorkha Territorial Administration (GTA) comprising of the three Sub-divisions of

13. HOW TO APPLY:
i) The eligible and desirous candidates should send their application in the prescribed
proforma duly typed or neatly hand written as given in Appendix - A duly filled in
on fullscap paper with two attested passport size photographs, one duly affixed on
application form and attested copies of Education/Professional/ Experience if any/
Date of Birth (Matric)/ SC/ST/OBC (as mentioned in Annexure I & II) certificates
etc. addressed to the following application receiving Centres so as to reach there
on or before 13/02/2013 (Wednesday) repeat on or before 13/02/2013

Note :- The candidates should apply to the recruitment centres as earmarked
above. However, if any candidates feels that the above earmarked recruitment
centre is far away from their home town, they should apply to one of the above
centres which falls nearer to their home town or as per their convenience.


ii) The candidate can also drop the envelopes containing their duly filled-in application
to the drop box placed for the purpose in the main gate of application receiving
centres. The applications received after the last/due date i.e. after 13/02/2013 will
not be entertained and summarily rejected. Incomplete application in any respect
will be rejected summarily and no correspondence will be entertained on this
account.

iii) APPLICATION FEE.
Every application of General and OBC candidates should be accompanied by a
crossed Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft for Rs.50/- (Non-refundable) payable
in favour of the DIGP of respective application receiving Centres. However, no
application fee will be charged from the candidates belonging to SC/ST community.
Note :-
Fee paid by modes other than Indian Postal order/bank draft will not be accepted
and the applications of such candidates will be rejected forthright and the payment
made shall stand forfeited.
14. SELECTION PROCESS
i) ONLY FOR SUB-INSPECTOR (CIVIL)
The candidates who are found eligible in all respect as per eligibility conditions
prescribed for the post applied for will be called for recruitment test. The
exact date and venue of recruitment test will be intimated to the eligible
candidates through admit cards by the respective application receiving
centres. The candidates will have to undergo the following process/test : -
a) Physical Measurement
The candidates will undergo initial physical screening test to conform to the
prescribed standard of Height, Chest & weight.
b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Those who are found fit in the initial physical screening will be put through the
following Physical efficiency Test. However, departmental candidates of CRPF
will be exempted from PET.

Note :-
PET will be of qualifying nature and those who do not qualify the above tests
will get eliminated from there only and will not be allowed to appear in the
written test.
c) Appeal :-
Appeals from candidates who are not satisfied with their physical
measurements will be obtained. Such candidates shall be asked to report on
the day after the completion of the PST/PET by giving a firm date. An
appellate authority will again measure the physical standards of such
candidates on the next day as per their complaint. If candidates are found to
be within the prescribed PST standards, they will be forwarded to the PST/PET
board for further conduct of PET in continuation. The decision of the Appellate
authority will be final and no further representation will be accepted /
considered.
d) Written test (100 Marks)
Written test (Total 100 Marks) about professional Knowledge (80 marks) and
General Awareness (20 marks) will be conducted. The written test will consist
of objective type multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in
Hindi and English for duration of 2 hours. Answer must be given only in Hindi
or English.
e) Interview (20 Marks)
Interview will be conducted to check personal bearing, response, aptitude and
general level of intelligence etc.
f) Detailed Medical Examination
Candidates selected in order of merit after interview will be put through a
detailed medical examination to assess their fitness as per existing guidelines
of the provision. Each candidate will be declared either fit or unfit and no one
will be categorized as “temporarily unfit”.
g) Drawal of Merit list


(a) All India Merit lists in each category namely General /SC/ST and OBC will
be drawn separately on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in written test
and interview. In case of tie in marks candidate with older age will be higher
in merit list. In case of tie at this stage also, the candidates whose name
comes first in the alphabetical order (In English) be kept higher in the merit
list.
(b) Final merit list will only be prepared after review medical examination.
h) Final Selection
The final selection of the candidates will be made in order of merit in each
category. It will be necessary for each candidate to secure at least 50%
Marks in aggregate. Relaxation of 5% marks will be given to the candidates
belonging to SC/ST categories.
ii) ONLY FOR CONSTABLE (PIONEER)
The candidates who are found eligible in all respect as per eligibility conditions
prescribed for the post applied for will be called for recruitment test. The
exact date and venue of recruitment test will be intimated to the eligible
candidates through admit cards by respective application receiving centres.
The candidates will have to undergo the following process/test : -
a) At the very beginning candidate will be asked to go through the height bar.
Candidates who qualify the height bar will be subjected to 1.6 Km race to be
completed in 9 minutes. The candidate (s) who do not qualify 1.6 Km race
within the qualifying time of 9 minutes will be eliminated and will not be
allowed to participate in further process. After qualifying 1.6 Km race thumb
impression / specific identification marks in the body will be taken. Thumb
impression and identification marks will be checked at each stage of the
recruitment process to obviate impersonation. Original testimonial/documents
of the candidates will be checked thereafter eligible candidates will be
permitted to next stage of recruitment i.e. physical Standard Test (P S T).
b) Physical Standards Test
Candidates who are found eligible on screening of testimonials will be
screened first for height, chest and weight measurements by a Board before
sending them for physical Efficiency Test (PET).
c) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Those who are found fit in the initial physical screening will be put through the
following Physical efficiency Test. However, departmental candidates of CRPF
will be exempted from PET.

1. PET does not carry any marks. The test will be qualifying / elimination
Test. No Physical Efficiency Test will be held for Ex-Servicemen.
However, Ex-Servicemen will be required to pass the requisite written
test medical examination
2. Those who do not qualify the above stages i.e. 1.6 Km race/testimonial /
documents checking / PST/ PET will get eliminated from the process
there only and will not be allowed to appear in further tests
d) Appeal :-
Appeals from candidates who are not satisfied with their physical
measurements will be obtained. Such candidates shall be asked to report on
the day after the completion of the PST/PET by giving a firm date. An
appellate authority will again measure the physical standards of such
candidates on the next day as per their complaint. If candidates are found to
be within the prescribed PST standards, they will be forwarded to the PST/PET
board for further conduct of PET in continuation. The decision of the Appellate
authority will be final and no further representation will be accepted /
considered.

e) Written test (100 Marks)
The Candidates who qualify in the PET will be required to appear in written
test. The written test will consist of objective type multiple choice questions.
The question paper should be of 100 marks and it will comprise at least 100
questions. The question paper will be set to assess the general
awareness/General knowledge, knowledge of elementary mathematics,
analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test
the basic knowledge of the candidate in English/Hindi. The question will be
set both in Hindi and English. The papers can be answered either in Hindi or
English.
f) Trade Test (Qualifying Nature)
Proper assessment of proficiency in respective trade will be made by the

Trade.
g) Medical Examination
The candidates will be medically examined to assess their Physical and
Medical fitness as prescribed in the eligibility conditions. Each candidate will
be declared either fit or unfit and no one will be categorized as “temporarily
unfit”.
h) Merit list
(1) All India Merit lists in each category namely General /SC/ST/ OBC and Ex-
Servicemen will be drawn separately on the basis of aggregate marks
obtained in written test. In case of tie in marks candidate with older age will
be higher in merit list. In case of tie at this stage also, the candidates whose
name comes first in the alphabetical order (In English) be kept higher in the
merit list.
(2) Final merit list will only be prepared after review medical examination.
i) Final Selection
Final selection of the candidate will be made in order of merit in each category
as per cut off percentage of marks as under:-
General & Ex-Servicemen - 35 %
SC/ST/OBC - 33 %
15. Appeal against medical examination
The candidates declared unfit during medical examination, will be communicated
the grounds for rejection in broad terms by the examining Medical Officer duly
counter signed by P.O. of Recruitment Board. The candidate if not satisfied with
the findings of the Medical Examination can submit an appeal within 15 days for
Review Medical Examination along with proof of his fitness in the prescribed form
(Annexure-“IV”) by enclosing IPO/Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque of Rs 25/-
(Rupees twenty five) only in favour of appellate authority i.e. the “DIGP of
respective application receiving centres”. The Medical certificate will not be taken
in consideration unless it contains a note by the medical practitioner concerned to
the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact the candidate has
already been declared unfit for appointment in CRPF by a Medical Officer and the
opinion of the examining medical officer is an error of judgment. The appeal will
also not be taken into consideration unless it contains Review Medical
Examination fee of Rs 25/- through Demand Draft.


16. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
i) Schedule of important events in recruitment process is enclosed as
appendix “C”.
ii) On appointment, candidates shall be governed by the CRPF Act and
Rules as well as all such Govt. instructions/rules as applicable.
iii) Department shall not be responsible for damage/injury to the
individual, if any, sustained during the Recruitment
process/Physical Efficiency Test/Journey etc.
iv) The candidates shall have to bring their original
testimonials/documents (i.e. educational/ professional/ experience
certificate/ caste certificate/ service certificate) etc. at the time of
recruitment process.
v) The candidates shall have to bring with them writing material for
Written Test.
vi) Candidates should come duly prepared to stay at their own
arrangements for the purpose of recruitment.
vii) Candidates will have to appear for selection test at his own
expenses and risk and no TA/DA will be admissible.
viii) All eligible candidates will be duly informed about the date and
venue of the recruitment through post.
ix) The candidate finally selected for appointment shall be subjected to
chest x-ray, radiology and pathology tests.
x) The candidate joining post will have to undergo prescribed basic
training at Training Institutions of CRPF.
xi) After his selection/appointment if any candidate is found ineligible
or guilty of suppressing facts, on any ground, his services will be
terminated without assigning any reason.
xii) Canvassing in any form or adoption of unfair means or bringing
outside influence will disqualify the candidate from appearing for
the test.
xiii) The result of Written Test will be posted on CRPF website as well as
displayed on notice boards of recruitment centres.
xiv) Ex CRPF personnel will be treated as fresh entrants and they will
not be allowed any relaxation applicable to Ex-servicemen.

17. IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR CANDIDATES
i) The recruitment process has 1.6 Km race to be completed in 9 minutes
respectively. This requires endurance and stamina. Candidates are
advised to practice for the races before coming for recruitment. They are
further advised to get themselves medically examined regarding their
suitability to run the specified distance in the given time. CRPF will not be
responsible for any injury/ mishap or medical problem which may arise
from the race or other events of the recruitment process.
ii) Be aware of Touts. No money is charged for recruitment in CRPF. If you
have paid or promised to pay money to any one, you are cheated, you are
losing money. If anyone demands money or promise recruitment,
immediately inform the Presiding Officer (P.O.) of recruitment Board.

MUST ENSURE THAT THEY ARE ENTITLED TO SUCH RESERVATION AS PER

5. CENTRAL GOVERNMENT CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES/SERVANTS CLAIMING AGE

CONTINUE TO HAVE THE STATUS OF CENTRAL GOVERNMENT CIVILIAN

Note:-Final scrutiny of eligibility criteria with regards to age, educational qualification, caste,
physical standard will be undertaken at the time of final selection/medical examination.
Therefore, candidature will be accepted only provisionally till final selection. At the time of
final selection when scrutiny is undertaken and if any claim made in application is not found
substantiated then the candidature will be cancelled and the decision of CISF in this regard
shall be final.


II. Applications are invited from Male and Female Indian citizens for filling up the backlog
vacancies of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes and Ex-
Servicemen in the rank of Head Constable (Ministerial) in the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200
with Grade pay of Rs.2400/- in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The
vacancies are as given below :-

i) The selected candidates are liable to be posted any where in the country as per the transfer policy
of the Force.
ii) The recruitment will be done on All India Basis.
iii) Selected candidates will be governed by CISF Act and Rules.
iv) Vacancies reserved for Ex-servicemen will be filled up by other candidates in case of sufficient
candidates are not available in this category.
v) On appointment they shall be entitled for the pension benefits as per the “ New Restructured
Defined Contributory Pension Scheme” applicable for the new entrants to the Central
Government services wef 01.01.2004
vi) 15 % of above vacancies are reserved for women. In case suitable women candidates are not
available then the vacancies will be filled by suitable male candidates.
III. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
a) Educational qualification Intermediate or 10+2 from recognized

i) Eye Sight – The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other eye
without correction i.e., without wearing of glasses/lenses.
ii) Candidates must not have Knock knee, Flat Foot, Squint in eyes or Varicose vein and they
should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free
from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.


IV. DISQUALIFICATION
No person
(a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having spouse living
OR
(b) Who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with another
person.
(i)
Shall be eligible for appointment to the Force, provided that the Central Government may, if
satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and
the other party to the marriage and there are other grounds for so to do, exempt any person from
the operation of this rule.
(ii) Conviction by any court of Law.
(iii) Dismissal form Govt. Service.
(iv) Termination from CISF during probation.
V. DEFINITIONS/RELAXATIONS AND SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXSERVICEMEN
1. ”Ex-servicemen” means a person who has served in any rank (whether as a
combatant or as a non-combatant) in the Regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the
Indian Union but does not include a person who has served in the Defence Security
Corps, the General Reserve Engineering Force, the Lok Sahayak Sena and the
paramilitary forces; and
a) who has retired from such service after earning his/her pension; this would
also include persons who are released/retired at their own request but after
having earned their pensions or
b) who has been released from such service on medical grounds attributable to
military service or circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or
other disability pension; or
c) who has been released, otherwise than on his own request, from such service
as a result of reduction in establishment; or
d) who has been released from such service after completing the specific period
of engagement, otherwise than at his own request or by way of dismissal or
discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, and has been given a
gratuity, and includes personnel of the Territorial Army, of the following
categories, namely:-
(i) pension holders for continuous embodied services;
(ii) Gallantry award winners.
The Territorial Army Personnel will be treated as Ex-servicemen with effect
from 15-11-1986.
e) Hav/Clk (Typist) of the Army and equivalent rank from Air Force or
Navy who have retired from Service are eligible to compete against
vacancies for Ex-Servicemen in HC/Ministerial.
f) Ex-servicemen holding the higher rank may also compete in this recruitment
for lower post provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria and also they furnish
their willingness in writing that in the event of their selection they will
not claim the post equivalent to the rank they were holding in the Defence
Forces.
g)
The person serving in the Armed Forces of the Union, who on retirement from
service, would come under the category of the Ex-servicemen as explained above
may also apply for these posts one year before (as on the date of recruitment)
completion of the specified term of engagement. They shall not leave the Uniform
until they complete the specified term of engagement in the Armed Forces of the
Union. Such candidates should submit a certificate from the Commanding Officer
concerned as per ANNEXURE-V


2. Break in Service: Should not be more than 03 years from the date of discharge from
Army/Navy/Air Force as on 01.08.2012.
3. Medical Category: “A”(AYE)/ “SHAPE-I” at the time of discharge. They should
also possess the same medical standards prescribed for direct recruits for the post of
Head Constable/Ministerial in CPMFs.
4. Character on discharge: Exemplary/Very Good.
The other eligibility conditions will be the same as applicable to direct candidates as
mentioned under eligibility criteria.
VI. SELECTION PROCEDURE:
1. Selection process will consist of the following :-
Written Examination
Objective type question paper to be answered on OMR sheet of 100 marks of 02 hours
duration containing 100 questions on General Intelligence, General Knowledge,
General English or Hindi and Arithmetic.
Verification of Eligibility Standards
Eligibility standard will be verified as enumerated in Para-III of this Notification..
Skill test norms on computer
English typing w.p.m. @ 35 Hindi typing @ 30 w.p.m. (Time allowed -10 mts)
(35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500 KDPH/ 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key
depression for each word.)
Medical Examination-
Candidates selected in order of merit (equal to the number of vacancies notified) will
be put through a detailed Medical examination to ascertain their fitness.
2. Candidates have to appear in all stages of Recruitment for which they have qualified. If a
candidate is absent from any stage/event for which he has qualified, his candidature will
be cancelled.
3. Candidates, who qualify in the Written Examination with reference to such minimum
qualifying marks as may be fixed by the Department, will be put through subsequent
stages of selection.
4. In all cases, a candidate declared UNFIT in Detailed Medical Examination, will be
communicated the grounds for such rejection by indicating “Parameters measures” and
“Standard normal parameter” in legible language by the Medical Board. The
candidate, if not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer, can submit an appeal
for Review Medical Examination within a period of 15 days with a proof of his/her fitness
in the prescribed form attached as per Annexure-VII. The medical certificate will not be
taken into consideration unless it contains a note by the medical practitioner concerned to
the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidates has
already been declared unfit for appointment in the CISF by a Medical Officer. The
appeal will also not be taken into consideration unless it contains medical re-examination
fee of Rs.25/- through demand draft. (the details of authority to whom the appeal should
be submitted and DDO concerned and payable branch etc will be mentioned in the
Rejection Slip itself to be issued by the Examining Medical Officer/Chairman of the
Recruitment Board)
5. Revaluation of OMR sheets will not be permitted.
VII. FINAL SELECTION
Final selection of the candidates will be made from the candidates those found fit in the
medical examination strictly according to merit and availability of vacancies.


VIII APPLICATION FEE
The application fee will be Rs.50/-(Rupees Fifty only) which is to be sent along with
application through crossed non-refundable India Postal Order drawn in favour of the
officers mentioned in column 2 of the table given in Para-IX below. No fee is required in
the case of SC, ST, women and Ex-Servicemen candidates. Application fee remitted in
any other form viz money order, bank draft, banker cheque will not be accepted and the
applications which are accompanied with the application fee in the any other form (other
than the postal order) will summarily be rejected.

IX. HOW TO APPLY

Application and admit card in the prescribed format as per Annexure-I should be sent to any of the
authorities mentioned below along with requisite application fees of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only) in
the form of Postal Order drawn in favour of the officer mentioned under column 2 and payable at
the post office as mentioned under column 3. SC/ST/Women and Ex-Servicemen candidates are
exempted from application fee.

X. CLOSING DATE

IX above by 26.02.2013 and in case of residents of North East region by 05.03.2013. No
application will be entertained which is received after the closing date.
XI. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
i) Only eligible Candidates may apply in the prescribed format. Candidates should
minutely go through all the provisions in the notice to ensure that he is eligible for
the post for which he is applying in terms of requirement of Age, Educational
qualification etc.
ii) Application form and Admit card duly filled in the prescribed format as per
Annexure-I and affixed with recent passport size photograph duly attested by a
Gazetted officer may be sent to the concerned DIG as mentioned in Para -IX above.


iii) Documents to be submitted along with the Application Form:
a) A crossed non-refundable Indian Postal Order of Rs.50/-(Rupees Fifty only) on
account of application fee if applicable for the candidates as mentioned in Para
IX above. No claim for refund of application fee will entertained on the ground
of rejection of application.
b) Three self addressed envelopes of 12 x 27 cms size. Address on the envelopes
must be written clearly. Out of these three self addressed envelopes, two
envelopes must be affixed with postal stamp of Rs. 22/- so that call up letter may
be sent through registered post, otherwise the application will be summarily
rejected.
c) Photostat copies of certificates/testimonials in support of age and educational
qualification issued by a recognized board/University duly attested by a Gazetted
officer.
d) Photostat copy of SC or ST certificate which should be on the format as
prescribed in Annexure-II (if belonging to SC/ST category).
e) Photostat copy of OBC certificate which should be on the format as prescribed in
Annexure –III (if belonging to OBC category).
f) Candidates belonging to OBC category will have to sign declaration with regard
to “non-creamy layer status certificate” as mentioned in application form.
g) Certificate for relaxation in height and/or chest measurement as per format in -
Annexure-IV (if seeking to avail relaxation in Physical Standards).
h) Photostat copy of Army discharge certificate, Undertaking as per format in
Annexure-V and Certificate for employed Officials as per - Annexure-VIII for
the candidates applying against Ex-Servicemen vacancies.
i) Questionnaire as per Annexure-VI duly filled in and signed by the candidates
should invariably be send along with the application form.
j) Govt Servant including CISF personnel will have to submit a certificate as per
Annexure –IX from his/her Head of office/Controlling officer/Unit Commander
at the time of application
k) Other certificates in support of various relaxations as mentioned in para-III.
iv Applications, which are not filled up as per instruction or partly filled up applications
will not be entertained and no correspondence will be made. Applications may be
rejected due to reasons such as
(a) Incomplete or illegible and not submitted on prescribed format.
(b) Without postal order of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only) except SC/ST/Women and
Ex-servicemen candidates.
c) Without self addressed two envelopes duly affixing postal stamps of Rs.22/-
(d) Unsigned/Undated/without photograph
(e) Not enclosing Questionnaire form (Appendix-“VI)
(f) Under aged/Over aged candidates
(g) Not possessing the requisite educational qualification at the time of submitting
application.
(h) Applications not filled in English or Hindi or not filled by candidate in his own
handwriting.
(i) Applications received after the closing date as mentioned in this notification.
(j) Any other irregularity like mutilated or damaged application/documents etc

vi) No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the test.


vii) The candidates must fill Questionnaire form as per Annexure-VI. Decision regarding
the suitability for recruitment in CISF will be decided as per policy guidelines in
vogue.
viii) Name & Father’s Name should be exactly as mentioned in the Matriculation
certificate. In case of change the same must be supported by necessary documents
otherwise the candidature will be rejected.
ix) The application form must be filled by the candidate in his own handwriting
Correction, if any, should be legible and attested by the candidate.
x) Signature of the candidate through out the recruitment process should be the same as
signed in the application form. In case at any time the signature of the candidate
does not match with the signature in the application form, the candidature will be
rejected.
xi) Application may be filled up either in English or Hindi only.
xii) Unsigned applications, applications containing incomplete information and
documents as mentioned above will be summarily rejected and no correspondence or
enquiries from the applicants will be entertained. Hence, it is in the interest of the
candidate to ensure that his application form has been filled up correctly by him and
enclosures as mentioned above have been attested by the Gazzeted officer and are on
the prescribed format wherever applicable.
xiii) The Department reserves the right for delete/change any examination/typing test
centre and date of examination at its discretion.
xiv) Success in the examination confers no right to appointment unless the Department is
satisfied after such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is
suitable in all respect for appointment to the service post.
xv) Selected candidates are required to undergo basic training in our RTC for which they
will be informed separately through offer of appointment letter. They will be on
probation for a period of two years which can be extended. During the period of
probation if found unfit for any reason the services are liable to be terminated.
xvi) Any certificate other than in Hindi or English should be enclosed with translation in
Hindi or English duly attested, else will not be entertained.
xvii) Any sort of canvassing or recommendation will debar the candidate from selection.

Applicants must possess the qualifications from a recognized University as detailed

EXPLANATION:
After provision of the relaxation of Age in Col. No. 3 of table above; the age shall not
exceed the maximum age prescribed for the post for the candidates at Sl. No. 3 & 4.
The age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen is applicable for those who have been released
from defense otherwise than by way of dismissal, misconduct, and inefficiency.
PARA-4: (a) FEE: (Remittance of Fee) Each applicant must pay Rs. 100/- (Rupees One
Hundred Only) towards Application Processing Fee and Examination Fee RS. 80/- (RUPEES
EIGHTY ONLY) (if Candidates are not exempted from payment of Fee). Payment of Rs. 100/-
(Rupees One Hundred Only) towards application processing fee is compulsory for all
Applicants.


b) Mode of Payment of Fee:
I Step:-The Candidate has to logon to the WEBSITE (www.apspsc.gov.in) and enter his/her
Basic Personal Details like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Community.
II Step:-Immediately on entering the above details the Applicant will get (downloadable)- Challan
Form to pay the Fee at AP Online centers /State Bank of India.
III Step:-The Applicant should pay the prescribed Fee in any one of the A.P. Online centers /
State Bank of India and obtain Fee paid challan with Journal Number in the first
instance.
IV Step:-On the next working day after payment of Fee the Applicant should again visit
WEBSITE and enter the Journal Number to get the format of Application. The applicant
has to invariably fill all the columns in the Application and should submit ON-Line. Even
after making payment of fee, candidate fails to submit the bio-data particulars, such
applications shall be rejected without giving any notice.
V Step:- If any candidate fails to enter “Community” for any reason, they will be treated as an
OC without giving any notice.
NOTE ON EXEMPTIONS: The following category of candidates are exempted from payment of
fee:
a) SC, ST, BC, PH & Ex-Service Men.
b) Families having Household Supply White Card issued by Civil Supplies Department, A.P.
Government. (Residents of Andhra Pradesh)
c) Un employed youth in the age group of 18 to 34 years as per G.O.Ms.No. 439, G.A.(Ser.A)
Dept., dated: 18/10/1996 should submit declaration at an appropriate time to the
Commission.
d) Applicants belonging to the categories mentioned above (except Physically Handicapped
Persons & Ex-Service Men) hailing from other States are not entitled for exemption from
payment of fee and not entitled for claiming any kind of reservation.
PARA-5: PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:
THE SELECTION OF CANDIDATES FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE POSTS WILL BE MADE
BY WRITTEN EXAMINATION (OBJECTIVE TYPE) FOR ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES.
THE FINAL SELECTION OF THESE POSTS WILL BE BASED ON THE WRITTEN
EXAMINATION.
1. The minimum qualifying marks for selection are OCs 40%, BCs 35% SCs, STs and PHs
30% or as per rules. The minimum qualifying marks are relaxable in the case of SC/ST/BC/PH
on the discretion of the Commission.
2. The candidates will be selected and allotted to Service/ Department as per their rank in
the merit against vacancies and for the vacancies available.
N.B.: Mere securing minimum qualifying marks does not vest any right in a candidate for being
considered for selection.
3. The appearance in all the papers at the Written Examination as per rules is compulsory.
Absence in any of the papers will automatically render his candidature as disqualified.
4. Candidates have to produce Original documents and other particulars on the day of
verification date itself for verification as and when required and called for. If candidate fails
to produce the certificates if any one, and the particulars furnished in the Application do not
tally with the Original documents produced by the candidate, the candidature will be
rejected/disqualified without any further correspondence. As candidature for the recruitment
is processed through Computer/Electronic devices based on the particulars furnished in the
Application Form, the candidate is advised to fill in all the relevant particulars carefully.
5. While the Commission calls for preference of candidates in respect of posts, zones etc.,
in the application form, it is hereby clarified that the said preferences are only indicative for
being considered to the extent possible but not binding or limiting the Commission’s powers
enjoyed under Article 315 and 320 of the Constitution of India. Therefore, the Commission has
the power to assigning a successful candidate to any of the notified posts for which he is
considered by them to be qualified and eligible, subject to fulfilling the selection criterion.
6. The appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit
in the appropriate medical classification, and if he/she is of sound health, active habits free from
any bodily defect or infirmity.
Para-6: SCHEME OF EXAMINATION: The Scheme and Syllabus for the Written Examination
has been shown in Annexure-II.

PARA-7: HOW TO APPLY:
A) HOW TO UPLOAD THE APPLICATION FORM:
i) The Applicants have to read the User Guide for Online Submission of Applications and
then proceed further.
I Step: The Candidate has to logon to the WEBSITE (www.apspsc.gov.in) and enter his/her

in the appropriate space provided (JPG Format) in Application Form.
VI Step: The applicants have to invariably fill all the relevant columns in the Application and
should submit ON-LINE.
ii) Hand written/ Typed/ Photostat copies/ outside printed Application Form will not
be accepted and liable for rejection.
iii) Only applicants willing to serve anywhere in the Andhra Pradesh should apply.

Questions on General Science will cover General appreciation and understanding of science

History of India, emphasis will be on broad general understanding of the subject in its social,
economic and political aspects. Questions on the Indian National Movement will relate to the
nature and character of the nineteenth century resurgence, growth of nationalism and
attainment of Independence. In Geography, emphasis will be on Geography of India.
Questions on the Geography of India will relate to physical, social and economic geography of
the country, including the main features of Indian agricultural and natural resources. Questions
on Indian Polity and Economy will test knowledge of the Country’s political system and
Constitution of India, Panchayati Raj, Social systems and economic developments in India. On
general mental ability, the candidates will be tested on reasoning and analytical abilities.
