Junior Research Fellowships National Remote Sensing Centre ISRO

National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Hyderabad is inviting applications for awarding Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), on temporary basis for a maximum period of three years. 

Fellowship Details

The emoluments for the JRF include an amount of Rs. 16,000 per month shall be paid in case of candidates recruited with BE/B.Tech/M.Sc., for the 1st and 2nd years and for the subsequent years Rs.18,000/- per month shall be paid. In the case of M.Tech./M.Sc. (Tech), Rs.18,000/- per month shall be paid for the 1st and 2nd years and for the subsequent years Rs.20,000/- per month shall be paid. 

Total Number of Fellowships: Seven

Eligibility 
The candidate must hold an ME/M.Tech./M.Sc., Engineering or equivalent degree with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 scale or equivalent and pre-eligibility qualification of BE/B.Tech./B.Sc., (Engg.) or equivalent should also be in First Class with an aggregate of 65%. The M.Sc. Degree holders should have a first class with minimum 65% marks as average of all semesters or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent.

National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is a key functionary of Indian Space Research
Organization, striving to realize the Indian Space Vision through Earth Observation. It is responsible for
the Ground Segment of Remote Sensing Programme through satellite data acquisition, archival,
processing, dissemination, Remote Sensing Applications, Training and Capacity Building. It provides
Aerial services in the civilian Sector for the country. The Organization has four Regional Centres at
Bangalore, Nagpur, Kolkata and Jodhpur to address region/area specific Remote Sensing application
needs. The Earth Station located at Shadnagar, 65 kms from Hyderabad city, is being developed as a full
fledged centre to carry out the entire chain of Remote Sensing activities. NRSC is continuously exploring
the practical use of Remote Sensing for societal applications through multilevel initiatives, development
of value added data services and Remote Sensing Applications.

2. The duration of the training will be one year only.
3. Selected candidates will be registered under the apprentices act 1961 for which they should execute
a contract.
4. Ex-apprentices or candidates who are currently undergoing apprenticeship in any organization/firm
are not eligible.
5. Those candidates with one year or more job experience after acquiring the essential qualification
either in government/public/private sectors are not eligible .
5. Age should not be more than 35 years as on 30.11.2013. Age relaxation as per Government of India
orders are applicable in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
6. Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/PWDs are applicable as per apprentice act 1961.
7. The trainees will have no claim whatsoever for employment in NRSC or any other centers/Units of
ISRO/DOS after completion of the training period.

LPSC ISRO TECHNICAL ASSISTANT Posts Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre

  Indian space programme was institutionalized in 1969 with the formation of IIndianSpace Research Organisation [ISRO]. Indian space programme is aimed at promoting the development and application of space science and technology for the socio-economic benefit of the country and also providing valuable service to the Nation in a self reliant manner. 
     Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) is the lead Centre in the area of Liquid Propulsion for ISRO's Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes. Research and development of Earth Storable / Cryogenic & Semicryogenic propulsion and delivery of Engines, Stages, Associated Control Systems and Components for Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft programmes of ISRO are the main responsibilities of the Centre with its units at Valiamala near Thiruvananthapuram, Bangalore in Karnataka and Mahendragiri in Tamilnadu. The Headquarters located at Valiamala has the responsibilities of R&D in Earth Storable, Cryogenic and Semicryogenic Propulsion Systems for Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft Propulsions System design and architecture, Management of system projects, Earth Storable & Cryogenic Engine and stage systems and Integration of Launch Vehicle Propulsion Control System packages and Modules are carried out at LPSC,Valiamala. Activities like assembly, integration and testing of earth storable semicryogenic and cryogenic liquid rocket engines and stages are carried out at LPSC, Mahendragiri. LPSC at Bangalore is responsible for design and realization of Mono propellant thrusters and Components, Launch base support and orbit operation for Spacecrafts etc.
