Eligibility Criteria:

 The candidate should possess B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry & Math) qualification as a
regular student from a recognized university / institutions with minimum 60 % for General
/ OBC category and minimum 33 % for SC/ST category.
 The gap between the date of declaration of result and the date of engagement should
not be more than 3 years.
 The candidate must not have work experience of more than one year.
 The candidate should not have undergone apprenticeship training earlier.
 Age limit should be maximum 23 years for General Category candidates, 26 for OBC
category candidate and 28 years for SC, ST Category candidates as on 01/11/2013.

The period of Apprenticeship Training will be of 18 months from the date of commencement
and will be terminated upon completion of the stipulated period. The selected candidates
will be paid a stipend of Rs. 6,970/- per month during the 1st
 year and Rs. 7,220/- per month
for the remaining 6 months of training without any other benefits / allowances / facilities (The
organisation does not have obligation to provide regular employment to the apprentices
engaged).

1. The eligible candidate after scrutiny of documents will be called for
verification of original documents and selection will be made on the merit list
prepared and marks obtained in the Final Year examination and clearing
Medical Examination.

2. Only Fresh pass out students are eligible for apprenticeship training only up
to 3 years after passing their degree/diploma. Engineering Graduates or
Diploma Holders/Certificate Holders who had training or job experience for a
period of one year or more after attaining the essential qualifications shall
NOT be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the act.

commencement of training is more than one year, an affidavit on stamp
paper duly signed by Magistrate/Notary has to be submitted by the

1. Since the number of vacancies are tentative, the reserved vacancies status is only indicative and may
undergo revision on review.
2. 3% seats on horizontal basis shall be reserved for physically handicapped person (with disability 40% or
more), which will be clubbed with respective category i.e. in SC, ST, OBC, UR.
3. The cut off date for calculating age is 01.11.2013.
4. Age limit for all categories :

SELECTION PROCESS

RATE OF STIPEND
For Graduate Apprentices – Rs. 6000/- Per Month.
For Technician Apprentices – Rs. 4000/- Per Month.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Before a prospective candidate decides to apply online, he/she must visit the websites and/or read detailed
advertisement to ensure they are eligible to apply.
2. Candidates are advised to possess a valid e-mail ID & Mobile number, which is to be entered in the on-line
application form. They are also advised to retain their e-mail ID & Mobile number for six months, as any
important information regarding Apprenticeship will be conveyed through same.
3. Applicants may note that, if selected as Apprentice, completion of training will be subject to registration of
Apprenticeship by Board of Apprentices Training (BOAT) Mumbai. If due to any reason BOAT refuses
registration the Apprenticeship will be terminated and he/she will not be issued with the “ Apprenticeship
Certificate”.
4. If at any stage of training, it is found that candidate has furnished false/ incorrect information or concealed any
information, his/her Apprenticeship shall be cancelled and suitable action will be taken as per extent rules.
5. In case candidate wants of change/modify any information furnished in the online application, a fresh
application with revised data can be submitted online. Resubmission of applications are allowed maximum 3
times only.
6. Candidates shall be bound by rules made by BHEL Bhopal for selection process.
7. The Management reserves the right to Revise / Reschedule / Cancel / suspend the process without assigning any
reasons. The decision of the management shall be final and no appeal shall be entertained.
8. Any disputes arising regarding this Apprenticeship will be limited to Bhopal jurisdiction only.

1] Required Qualification :

 A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an institution

2013-2014 will be preferred..
 The Training will be governed by the Apprentices Act 1961 as Amended in 1973

 Only general medical check-up free of cost at our HPC,NPM Hospital.
 Apprentices will not be provided accommodation and will be required to make
their own boarding & lodging arrangements. However, Company vacant quarters
may be provided on request subject to availability on chargeable basis.
 No T.A. will be given at the time of selection test / interview as well as at the time
of joining training.
