  1. Inspector of Factories (Medical): 04 Posts
    Qualifications: i). Medical qualification included in First or Second schedule or Part-II of Third schedule to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and Registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal. ii). Diploma in Industrial Health/ Public Health. Desirable: Six months’ practical training as House Staff in Government Hospital or other recognised institution.
  2. Geography Mistress: 01 Post
    Qualifications: i). Second class Masters degree or Honours degree in Geography of an Indian University or equivalent. ii). Degree in teaching or Education or equivalent (a candidate not possessing this qualification may apply but if selected shall have to acquire such qualifications within three years of joining the post and will draw on an ad-hoc basis the initial of the time- scale of pay till she qualifies herself in this regard). iii). Teaching experience in English medium in secondary schools, preferably residential ones, relax able for otherwise well qualified candidates. iv). Ability to teach in English medium.
  3. Assistant Director of Agriculture: 177 Posts
    Qualification: Bachelors degree in Agriculture with 4 years degree course from a recognised university/ institute.
  4. West Bengal Agricultural Service (Research):
    a) Assistant Botanist: 24 Posts
    b) Assistant Agricultural Chemist/Analytical Chemist/Junior Soil Scientist: 08 Posts
    c) Assistant Entomologist: 01 Post
    d) Assistant Agronomist: 02 Posts
    e) Assistant Plant Pathologist/Assistant Mycologist: 06 Posts
    Qualifications: i). Bachelors degree in Agriculture. ii). Masters degree or equivalent in the following discipline (the candidate must have obtained first class in Bachelors degree or in Masters degree) – For (a) Botany/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Plant Physiology/ Agricultural Botany/ Seed Science & Technology; For (b) Agricultural Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry/ Soil & Water Conservation/ Soil Physics/ Soil Survey/ Microbiology/ Agricultural Chemicals; For (c) Entomology; For (d) Agronomy; For (e) Mycology/ Plant Pathology.
Application Fee: Rs. 210/- only by Indian Postal Order which must be purchased after publication of this advertisement and on or before the closing date of submission of application and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees”.
