  1. Categories of PhDs’ offered

The University offers Ph.D (minimum duration is 3 years) programmes in different

  1. Eligibility criteria for the candidates to apply for the  Ph.D Programme

                                i.            Candidates applying for Ph.D should have Post Graduate (PG) qualification in the concerned disciplines from any UGC recognized State / Central University / Private University,  Premier National Institutes,  with 60% marks for categories, OC and OBC candidates, 55% marks for SC and ST candidates. Relaxation is given by 5% marks, for English, Arts and Commerce disciplines for all categories mentioned. 
                              ii.            Candidates applying for Ph.D research programme under external registration should have minimum of two years experience in Educational Institutions / R & D organizations / Industries on Last date of Application after obtaining Qualifying degree.




                            iii.            ELIGIBILITY:

  Educational Qualifications for the following disciplines  for admission into Ph.D( External Registration)   

I. Computer Science: Post Graduate degree / M.Phil in Physics, Electronics, Mathematics 
                                    Computer Science and Masters degree in Computer Applications

II.  In Multi disciplinary areas:


a)Spatial Information Technology : Post Graduate Degree in Spatial Information  Technology/
            Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Geology / Geography /
             Engineering / Agriculture / Atmospheric Sciences / Space
            Sciences.

( b) Biotechnology :   Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering / Food
                                        Technology / Bio Chemical Engineering / Bio Chemistry / Microbiology /             
                                    Life Sciences (Zoology, Botany, Genetics, Agricultural Sciences) /     
                                    Pharmacy / Environmental Science and Technology.

                            iv.            Candidates interested to apply for interdisciplinary research work, should hold the first degree (Bachelor degree) in the relevant area. However, he/she may have Supervisor and Co-Supervisor from the area of interdisciplinary research, having Ph.D in those areas.

4.             Eligibility criteria for Supervisor/Co-Supervisor

Faculty member / Scientist from any UGC recognized State University/Central University,  Government R & D organizations,  Private R & D organizations recognized by the University, Research centers (departments from any private Engineering ) recognized by the University, shall  enroll with the University as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor.
If the Supervisor / Co-Supervisor is from any affiliated institute / Private organization, then Co-Supervisor / Supervisor is mandatory from State / Central Universities recognized by UGC, premier National institutes like IITs  / NITs and Government R&D organizations.




The eligibility criteria to act as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor are as follows.

          i.            Faculty member / Scientist should have Ph.D qualification from State University/Central University/IITs’/IIMs/NITs/IISc or any other UGC recognized private University.
        ii.            Faculty member / Scientist should have research experience of minimum one year duration after completion of Ph.D.
      iii.            Faculty member / Scientist should have at least three National and International Journal publications with impact factor and at least one out of them should be after acquiring Ph.D.
      iv.            Faculty member / Scientist should not guide for more than 12 Ph.D candidates totally, as main supervisor.
        v.            Faculty member may also act as a Supervisor / Co-Supervisor for the interdisciplinary research provided his basic degree is from any of the interdisciplinary areas.
      vi.            Faculty member having Ph.D with the same specialization, from any State / Central Universities / IITs’ / IIMs’ / NITs /IISc or any other UGC recognized private University will be considered.
    vii.            Not more than three Ph.D scholars should be registered with a Supervisor per year.

5. Admission procedure

Admissions will be made by the Directorate of Admissions and the selection will be
 intimated to the candidates. The guidelines for admissions for Ph.D programme are
 as follows.
·         Candidates shall be admitted in the Ph.D programme based on merit in written test and interview
·         Written test is to be conducted by the University in the prescribed syllabi.  The syllabi will be placed in the website along with notification.
·         Hall Tickets for written test will not be posted to the candidates.  It is the responsibility of the candidates to collect the Hall Tickets from the Office of the Director, Admissions, JNTUK, Kakinada without which he/she will not be allowed for the Entrance Examination.

·         Candidates who have qualified in the UGC/CSIR/NET/SLET examinations are exempted from appearing the written test. However, they have to attend the interview.
·         Candidates possessing M Phil degree are exempted from appearing written test. However, they have to attend the interview. Candidates possessing M.Phil degree though Distance mode are not exempted from appearing from written Test.
·         The minimum qualifying marks in the written test are 45% for OC and OBC and 35% for SC and ST candidates.
·         Candidates, who qualify in written test have to appear for the interview before the board constituted by the University.
·         Candidates seeking admission under external registration should produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer and the employer should permit the candidate to avail the leave for atleast six months to complete the residential requirement to attend the assigned subjects, for course work /   pre - Ph.D / Thesis compilation etc.
·         During the research period, the candidate shall not register for any other course, at any other University or Institution, leading to the award of any other degree / diploma. In case of any such contingency, the candidate shall forfeit the admission.
6.Course work, Pre-Ph.D, and Residential Requirements

Candidates admitted in Ph.D (External registration) should complete the
Residential, course work, and Pre-Ph.D requirements as follows.

Residential Requirement for External scholars
·                       Candidate should have minimum of six months residential requirement to enable the candidate to interact for the research work with Supervisor /          Co-Supervisor. Supervisor and Co-Supervisor should issue the completion of residential requirement certificate accordingly before the submission of the thesis. The period of stay for attending the audit courses and credit course should be treated as residential requirement.



Course work requirements
·           Candidate should attend the two audit courses, viz., “Research Methodology” and “Intellectual Property rights and Patents” in the month of May every year. Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory. Internal assessment by concerned teacher should be categorized as either Satisfactory / Not –Satisfactory. If the assessment is not satisfactory, the candidate has to attend the course during next academic year.
·           In addition, one credit course in their discipline needs to be completed along with PG programme students offered by any state Universities. The period of stay may be considered as Residential requirement of the University.
Pre-Ph.D Subjects requirements
·         Candidate has to register two subjects, recommended by Supervisor/Co-Supervisor  in addition to the audit and credit courses  as and  when University  issues notification for Pre-PhD Examination . Candidate has to pass these subjects with minimum of 50% marks. In case, the candidate fails to pass in three attempts his/her admission shall be cancelled
7.Duration of Ph.D programme and Extension of time

The minimum duration of Ph.D (Full time or External registration) is 3 years.
However, candidates may be permitted to continue the work and submit the thesis
before    6 years. Further, extension may be permitted by the Vice-Chancellor,
based on the merit of the case and discretion of the Vice-Chancellor.
·                       Candidate should submit the progress of the work along with the application for the extension of time, in the prescribed format given in, at least three months before the completion of six years.
·                       Candidate should complete the Residential work, Course work, and  pre-Ph.D subjects, before the stipulated period (6 years) for the Ph.D programme
·                                Necessary recommendation from the Supervisor and Co-Supervisor
·                       Candidate should have paid the fee without any arrears and attended minimum of two RRC meetings during the 6 years

8.    Fee particulars

On selection for admission, candidates shall be required to pay the prescribed fee as per the prescribed criteria.  Fee has to be paid on or before 31st July, in every academic year, subsequent to admission, till the successful completion of the programme and submission of thesis or cancellation of the admission as the case may be. If the fee is not paid by the stipulated date, late fee of Rs.2000/- is levied (within six months from due date), Rs. 4000/- is levied (within one year from due date). Foreign students may have to pay US $200 (or its equivalent in Indian rupees) as late fee (within six months from due date), US$ 400 (or its equivalent in Indian rupees) as late fee (within one year due date). Thereafter, the admission of the candidate is liable to be cancelled, without any prior intimation.

Fee details for research programmes per annum:
 Rs.30, 000/-       (For  External Registration Candidates)
Mode of fee payment is by crossed demand draft in favour of the “The Registrar, JNTUK Kakinada’ payable at Kakinada drawn on any Nationalized Bank. A candidate must write his name, roll number, name of Ph.D program and complete address (Mobile No. and E-mail address) on the back of the demand draft.
Candidate must preserve all fee receipts and Xerox copies of the demand drafts and produce them as and when required.
Candidate has to pay double the fee during the extended period, beyond 6 years, if candidate is permitted for extension of time.
If any reason, a candidate takes his / her original certificates temporarily from the University, candidate has to submit the requisition application with recommendation from the Supervisor mentioning the date before which the certificates will be returned to the office. If he/she does not return before the mentioned date, the candidate may have to forfeit the admission.
In the event of cancellation of Ph.D registration by the candidate on his/her request or by University for any reason, the entire fee amount due till the date of cancellation, must be cleared by the candidate for the return of original certificates.

i) 10th pass or ITI equivalent.
ii) The National Apprentices Certificate (NAC) issued by National Council of Trades for Vocational Training (NCTVT) in the relevant trade failing which by ITI or Equivalent Diploma/Certificate holders.
Degree and Diploma in Engineering cannot be accepted as qualification for Direct Recruitment to the Semi–Skilled posts.
It is also intimated, that only when applicants with NCVT certificates as mentioned above are not available, then only applicants with ITI or equivalent Diploma/certificate holders will be considered.

4) Fees : Rs. 50/– (Rupees Fifty Only) through crossed Indian postal order or crossed Bank Draft issued by Scheduled Commercial Bank drawn in favour of General Manager, Ammunition Factory Khadki, Pune 411 003 (Maharashtra) payable at Pune. However no fee will be charged from SC/ST/Ex–Serviceman and Persons With Disabilities (PWD). The IPO/Draft should be issued on or after the date of publication of this advertisement. The application fee is not-refundable.
5) Photograph : The candidate should paste his/her recent (not more than three months old) passport size self attested colour photograph on the print out of Registration Form, which appears on successful submission of the online application.
6) How to Apply :

vii) General/OBC candidates, after entering fee details will get Receipt of Registration Form containing Registration Number. Whereas SC/ST/PH/Ex–Serviceman candidates will get directly Receipt of Registration Form containing Registration Number.
viii) The Registration Form containing the Registration Number can be used for future reference purpose. After taking the printout of the form containing Registration Number and duly pasted one self attested passport size color photo (not more than 3 months old) in the space provided, thumb impression on form, along with Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty Only) IPO/DD (for GEN/OBC) candidates and without IPO/DD (for SC/ST/PH/Ex–Serviceman) to be sent to the General Manager Ammunition Factory, Khadki Pune 411003 so as to reach within 08 days from the closing date of online application.

7) General Note :
i) If sufficient candidates with NCVT certificate are available then candidates with ITI or equivalent Diploma/Certificate will not be called for written test.
ii) Candidates appearing for Written Test/Trade Test will travel on their own expenses.

iii) SC/ST candidates shall be paid only Single Second Class Railway fare or Bus Fare for to and fro journey chargeable by shortest route on production of tickets provided that the distance traveled by Rail/Bus each way exceeds 30 KMs. No extra charge if any, incurred for reserving seat/sleeping berth in the train will however be reimbursed.
iv) Name of the post applied for must be clearly super scribed/written in capital letters on the top of the envelop containing IPO/DD and print out of Registration Form containing Registration Number which appears on successful submission of online application.
v) Person working in Central/State Govt./PSU must apply through proper channel along with the certificate from their Establishment that NO DISCIPLINARY ACTION IS CONTEMPLATED/PENDING against them and that they have, no objection in releasing them in case of selection. This certificate should be forwarded in the envelop as brought out in note (iv) above.
vi) For departmental candidates relevant rules shall apply.
vii) Mere submission of Registration Form containing Registration Number does not guarantee issue of „Admit Card‟ for Written Test.
viii) Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature of the candidate.
ix) The New Pension Scheme i.e. “DEFINED CONTRIBUTORY PENSION SCHEME” is Compulsory for all Central Govt. Employees who are appointed on or after 01/01/2004.
x) The candidates belonging to the trades of Fitter/Turner/Machinist/Boiler Attendant and Electrician may also apply for DBW trade. However, he/she has to apply separately.
xi) General Manager, Ammunition Factory Khadki shall not be responsible for any postal delay or failure.
xii) The services after appointment are liable to be transferred to any Ordnance Factory in India, subject to exigencies.
xiii) The advertisement is subject to orders, if any, by Hon‟ble Courts/Ministry of Defence/Ordnance Factory Board etc.
xiv) In case of any doubt/confusion about any part of the advertisement Hindi version will prevail.
xv) Ex–Trade Apprentices of Ammunition Factory Khadki are not required to apply against this advertisement. AFK shall issue Admit Card to the eligible candidates for the post advertised. The candidates shall affix self attested photograph on the Admit Card before appearing for written exam. Admit Cards will be issued to the Ex–Trade Apprentices of AFK at their present address, as available in AFK record. GM/AFK will not be responsible for change in the address of the candidates.
xvi) Ex-Serviceman certificates should be issued by the Competent Authorities. A copy of Discharge Certificate should be enclosed with the Registration Form as brought in (iv) above.
xvii) Document Verification : All the relevant documents related to Educational Qualifiation, proof of age, caste certificate, PH certificate, EX-Serviceman Certificate etc. as per requirement spelt out in the eligibility criterias shall be submitted in Original for scrutiny at the time of Trade Test. In case of failure to submit these documents, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for Trade Test. His candidature shall stand cancelled.

xviii) Relaxation of Standards in selection against Reserved Vacancies shall be resorted to, if sufficient numbers SC/ST/OBC/PHP/Ex–Serviceman persons are not available on the basis of general standard to fill up all the vacancies reserved for them. Candidates belonging to these categories may be selected under the relaxed standard provided that the minimum standard necessary for maintenance of efficiency is fulfilled in their cases.
xix) If any false/incorrect information furnished by the Applicant is detected at any stage, his candidature will be cancelled without prejudice to taking legal action against him.
xx) The candidates are advised to visit http://afk.gov.in frequently, at least every week for information related to timetable of written exam and printing of Admit Card. This shall be available on website on completion of administrative action of the applications received by the closing date.
DEFINITIONS OF DISABILITES :
(A) Hearing Impairment : “Hearing Impairment” means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.
(B) Locomotor disability : “Locomotor disability‟ means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy.
(C) “Cerebral Palsy” means a group of non-progressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development.
All the cases of Orthopaedically disabled persons would be covered under the category of “Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy”.
DEGREE OF DISABILITY FOR RESERVATION : Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in services/posts who suffer from not less than 40 percent of relevant disability. A person who wants to avail of benefit of reservation shall submit a Disability Certificate issued prior to the date of online application by competent authority at the time of Trade Test on passing the written examination.
COMPETENT AUTHORITY TO ISSUE DISABILITY CERTIFICATE : The competent authority to issue a Disability Certificate shall be a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or a State Government. The Central/State Government may constitute Medical Board(s) consisting of at least three members out of which at least one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing loco-motor/cerebral/hearing disability, as the case may be.
8) Closing Date : The last date/closing date of filling of online application will be 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News for filling of online application.
Last date of receipt of print out of Registration Form containing Registration Number which appears after successful completion of online application along with self attested passport size colour photograph, thumb impression and IPO/DD as applicable duly put together in an envelop super scribing their on “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ----- TRADE“, will be 08 days from the closing date of online application and 16 days for candidates from special areas shown at 6 (ix) above. If the closing date falls on holiday/Sunday, next working day will be closing/last date. Candidates should write name of Trade applied for in the blank space as explained above.

9) Important dates :
a) Filling of online applications will start on – immediately after publication of advertisement in Employment News.
b) Last date of application on online system – 21 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News for filling of online application.
c) Last date of receipt of print out of Registration Form containing Registration Number, self attested passport size color photograph, thumb impression, IPO/DD (for GEN/OBC Candidates), without IPO/DD (for SC/ST/PH/Ex–Serviceman Candidates) duly enclosed in an envelop super scribing their on “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ----- TRADE“, will be 08 days from the closing date of online application and 16 days for candidates from special areas shown at 6 (ix) above.
For example, if advertisement is published in employment news on 26/01/2013 then the closing date of filling of online application will be 15/02/2013 and date of receipt copy of application form at Ammunition Factory Khadki, Pune – 411 003, will be 23/02/2013. If the closing date falls on a Holiday/Sunday, next working day will be closing date.
d) Tentative date of printing of Admit Card will start after 45 days from the closing date of online application, however candidates are advised to visit the AFK website on frequent intervals for finding out the status of application, examination schedule and for printing of admit card etc.
e) The candidates belonging to the trades of Fitter/Turner/Machinist/Boiler Attendant and Electrician if desired, may also apply separately for DBW trade in addition to the their trades.
f) In case the written examination is held on same date for all or more than one advertised trades due to unavoidable circumstances, candidate will be entitled to appear for examination for only one post as per his choice.
g) Applications received in any other mode will not be accepted under any circumstances and will be summarily rejected.
10) Selection Criteria : The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit. The selection process will comprise of :
i) Written Test of 100 Marks : The question paper of written test will be in bilingual (Hindi and English). It contains fully objective type questions to be answered on OMR based answer sheet. The syllabus for written test for a trade will be broadly as that of the NCVT examination syllabus for that trade.
ii) Trade Test (Practical) : The trade Test will be conducted to test the skill of the candidates in their relevant field. The syllabus for trade test (practical) will be as per trade test specification of the Semi-Skilled grade of the relevant trade. The Trade Test (Practical) shall be only qualifying in nature without any marks.
All eligible candidates will be called for an objective type written test. On the basis of merit list based on marks obtained in written test, candidates 1.25 times the number of vacancies shall be called for trade test (Practical).

In the selection process, other things being equal i.e. marks being equal, trained Ex–Trade Apprentices of Ammunition Factory Khadki and Sister Factories shall be given preference in the order in which they are stated. In between the trained Ex–Trade Apprentices of Ammunition Factory Khadki, preference shall be given to those who are senior i.e. if two or more Ex–Trade Apprentices secure the same marks then preference shall be given on the basis of seniority. Seniority of Ex–Trade Apprentices of Ammunition Factory Khadki, Pune shall be decided on the basis of OFB‟s letter No. 13/08/03-A/HRD dt. 15/17–12–2003. Similarly, in between the trained Ex–Trade Apprentices of the Sister Ordnance Factories, preference shall be given to those who are senior as mentioned above.
11) Rejection of Application : The application shall be summarily rejected on following grounds.
i) If the copy of Registration Form containing Registration Number, thumb impression, self attested passport size color photograph, IPO/DD (for GEN/OBC Candidates), without IPO/DD (for SC/ST/PH/Ex–Serviceman Candidates) duly enclosed in an envelop super scribing their on “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ----- TRADE“ is not received within 08 days and within 16 days for candidates from special areas shown at 6 (ix) above from closing date of online application.
ii) If the Indian postal order/DD is issued before the date of publication of this advertisement in Employment News or not enclosed along with Registration Form containing Registration Number only in case of GEN/OBC Candidates.

Some unscrupulous elements may approach the candidates with the assurance of procuring appointment for them in the factory through illegal gratification. Candidates must not fall prey to such false assurance or exploitation and must not entertain or encourage such elements in any way. 1. INTRODUCTION
THE ANDHRA PRADESH RESIDENTIAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS SOCIETY
(REGD.) HYDERABAD is located at 3rd Floor, Gaganvihar, M.J. Road, Nampally, Hyderabad-
500 001. It was established in the year 1972 and it is managing 93 AP Residential Schools, 09
General AP Residential Junior Colleges, 05 AP Residential Junior Colleges for Minorities, 01 AP
Residential Degree College for Men and 200 Kasturiba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas totaling 308
Educational Institutions in the State. The management of the Society is vested with the Board of
Governors which consists of Officials and eminent educationalists nominated by the Government
of Andhra Pradesh. The Hon’ble Minister for Secondary Education, Government of Andhra
Pradesh is the Chairman, the Principal Secretary to the Government, Education Department (SE.)
is the Vice Chairman and an Officer in the Cadre of Additional Director in the School Education
Department is the Secretary to the Society.
The AP Residential Junior Colleges were started by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in
fully residential and ‘Gurukul’ pattern with an aim to cater to the needs of the talented students in
the state at + 2 level. The Government has also introduced vocational courses at NLVRGSRV
Junior College (Co-Edn.) i.e., AP Residential Junior College (Co-Edn.) Nimmakur, Krishna
District, as per the latest educational policy. In the Residential Institutions run by AP Residential
Educational Institutions Society (Regd.), Hyderabad the emphasis is laid mainly on providing
quality education suited to the present day educational scenario by creating conducive educational
atmosphere, help and strives for all-round development of the students. These institutions provide
free boarding and hostel facilities in addition to free education with the aid of Government of
Andhra Pradesh. All the students who secured Top Ten positions in the SSC public Examinations
of March/April 2013 will be provided direct admissions (additional seats) in APR Junior Colleges,
and Group of their choice on their application/request to the Secretary, APREI Society (Regd.),
Hyderabad without taking the rank secured in APRJC-CET into account. For getting highest scores
in the individual subjects and for better performance in the Intermediate Public Examinations in
the First and Second years the Intensive Coaching, Testing and Evaluation Scheme under Student
Enrichment Programme is being introduced in all the AP Residential Junior Colleges in the State.
Long-Term EAMCET Coaching for Science students and Long-Term CPT Coaching for Arts
students will be given.
All the AP Residential Junior Colleges have been working satisfactorily and winning
laurels in the Intermediate Public Examinations. A good number of students of these Colleges are
getting seats in IITs, NITs and in BITS. Almost all the students are getting seats in Engineering,
Medical and other professional Courses. Students opting groups under Humanities are also
progressing well in All India Services, C.A., ICWA., C.S., etc.,

3. ADMISSION CRITERIA IN MINORITIES - (BOYS&GIRLS) APR JUNIOR COLLEGES:
1. The rule of reservation specified in G.O.Ms.No.282 Education (SSE.2) Department, dt.16-07-1988 is
being followed for the allotment of seats to the Minorities for admission into APR (Minority) Junior
Colleges. The abstract of the above G.O. is as follows:
Reservations: As per the G.O.cited above, reservations of seats to be observed for the following
categories: Scheduled Caste-15%, Scheduled Tribes-06%, Backward class-25%, Physically
Handicapped-03%, Defence Personnel-03%. If sufficient number of pupils of Urdu Medium
belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Class and other reserved communities
are not available for selection, the selection shall be made as per the merit from among the
candidates belonging to other castes from all the Districts in the Region. (Concerned Districts)
2. All the five A.P. Residential Junior Colleges (Minorities) except APRJC (Minorities) Girls, Vayalpadu
will provide Urdu and English as Media of Instruction. The medium of instruction in APRJC
(Minorities) Girls, Vayalpadu will be Urdu. Admission will be given in these 5 Minority Junior Colleges
based on the merit in APRJC - CET 2013. Second Language will be Urdu/Telugu/Hindi.
4. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION INTO 09 GENERAL APR JUNIOR COLLEGES:
i) Candidates must be the residents and must have studied in Andhra Pradesh only.
ii) Pass in the qualifying examination in the first attempt in March/April, 2013 only.
iii) OC candidates must secure minimum of GPA 6 and BC.,SC.,ST. and Minority candidates
must secure minimum of GPA 5 in SSC or its equivalent examination.
iv) The above eligibility criteria will be verified at the time of Counseling and admission.

7. FACILITIES AND FEE PAYABLE TO THE COLLEGE AT THE TIME OF COUNSELLING:
There are good infrastructure facilities in addition to well equipped Laboratories, Libraries, Reading
Rooms and Play grounds with well equipped Physical Education Department. The Colleges offer free
instruction besides free boarding and lodging to all the selected candidates including Top ten positions in
the SSC Public Examinations March, 2013. Special Care will be taken for Talented and the low achievers
and the loco-parent system is adopted to look after and guide the students staying in the hostels.
SPECIAL FEE AND EXAMINATION FEE: Special fee and Examination fee will be collected as
prescribed by the Board of Intermediate Education A.P. Hyderabad. Caution Deposit of Rs. 25/- per year
will be collected at the time of admission
MAINTENANCE CHARGES: Maintenance charges Rs 1000/- will be collected at the time of admission
for first year and Rs.1000/- in the second year.
8. SCHEME OF THE TEST (APRJC-CET-2013): ON 15-05-2013 (Wednesday)
The candidate has to choose only ONE Group out of the five Groups offered and the change of
group will not be entertained under any circumstances. They have to clearly specify the group of their
choice in the OMR application and should not apply for two groups in one application. The Candidate who
is willing to study CEC or MEC group has to opt group code no.3 and bubble the relevant circle. Option
will be given to the candidate for seat allotment during counseling in CEC or MEC group based on his/her
merit secured in APRJC-CET subject to availability of vacancies in the opted group. The applications
received without mentioning their group will be allotted MPC Group and no correspondence will be
entertained there after. The candidates have to take entrance test in the following three subjects for
respective groups. The test is of objective type with 2 ½ hours duration for 150 Marks (50 Marks for each
subject). The candidates have to mark their answers on the OMR Sheet provided.

11. Criteria for allotment of seats under special reservation category:
The Seats under Special Reservation Category in MPC , BPC, CEC/MEC will be given on the
basis of Common merit list of Defence, PHC and Sports categories against OC.
NB: 1) Under PHC category, seats will be allotted based on the merit of Entrance Test among the PHC
candidates and in case of tie, the seat will be given to the highest merit candidate in APRJC CET.
Minimum disability 40%.
2) Under Sports category, seats will be allotted based on the merit in the Entrance Test among the
Sports candidates and in case of tie, the seat will be given on the basis of sports merit.
3) Under Defence category the candidate’s parent must be an Ex-service man (or) Presently in Defence

15. SUBMISSION OF FILLED IN OMR APPLICATIONS:
The filled in APRJC-CET / RDC-CET-2013 OMR Applications must reach
“THE CONVENOR, APRJC-CET & RDC-CET, APREI SOCIETY (REGD.), IV FLOOR, GAGANVIHAR,
M.J, ROAD, NAMPALLY, HYDERABAD-500 001” on or before 17-04-2013 at 5.00 p.m.
One big A4 Size Cover for inserting filled in OMR Application is supplied with the OMR
Application and Prospectus at all the Official Sales Centers of APRJC-CET-2013/RDC-CET-2013. The
applicants should send their filled in OMR Application in the Specified Cover only. The OMR application
should not be folded under any circumstances. Applications received after the due date and incomplete
applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained thereafter.

The candidates are advised to preserve a Xerox copy of their filled in OMR application for
further reference. The postal Department will not accept the acknowledgement cards without having
postal stamps. Hence, the candidates’ acknowledgement cards will not be dispatched who have not
securely pasted the required postal stamps.
16. DATE OF APRJC-CET/RDC-CET 2013:
15.05.2013 (Wednesday) FROM 10.00 A.M. TO 12.30 PM.
AT ALL THE DISTRICT HEAD QUARTERS.
17. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES:
a) The candidates must apply only in the prescribed APRJC-CET-2013/RDC-CET-2013 OMR/ICR
application bearing the application No. supplied by the Convenor through the specified Sales centers only.
Applications received in any other form or shape will be summarily rejected and no correspondence
will be entertained thereafter. The applications once sold can not be taken back under any circumstances
at any Official Sales Centers.
b) OMR Applications should be filled in properly, clearly and legibly by the candidate by his/her own
hand-writing with black ball point pen (thick black) in capital letters only. Information should be written in
the middle of the boxes and the letters or figures should not touch or cross the edges of the boxes which
leads to miss reading of the information by the scanner and the relevant ovals should be filled completely
with black ball point pen only.
c) The candidate is personally responsible for incomplete or incorrect entries in the OMR application. The
applicants themselves are solely responsible for incomplete applications and inconvenience caused
thereby.
d) The candidate is advised to write the correct, complete and present address for correspondence with PIN
code and Mobile/Cell No. to avoid miss communication of Hall Ticket, Selection Orders etc., for which the
candidate is alone responsible.
e) The Convenor reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage, if the particulars furnished by any
of the candidate are found incorrect or against the rules of admission.
f) In case of tie among the candidates with the same marks in the Entrance Test, the order of merit will be
decided
i) the higher marks secured by the candidate in Mathematics for MPC/EET, Biological
Science for BPC/CGDM and Social Studies for CEC/MEC will be considered,
ii) If still the tie persists, the higher marks secured candidate in Physical Science for
MPC/EET & for BPC/CGDM, and Mathematics for CEC/MEC will be considered,
iii) If still the tie persists, it will be decided by taking advanced age as criteria. And if tie
persists further the candidates will be given the same rank and it will be decided based on
the GPA secured in the qualifying examination in the concerned group subjects at the time
of counselling.
g) Hall Tickets and Call letters will be sent by Post Only. The Convenor or the APREI Society (Regd.)
Hyderabad is not responsible for postal delay or for the non-receipt of Hall tickets or call letters due to other
reasons. The candidates can also download their Hall Tickets from the web site www.apresidential.gov.in.
and www.sjgckurnool.org.in.

h) The individual ranks will be declared and published through electronic media and they can see in the
websites www.apresidential.gov.in., www.manabadi.com. , www.manabadi.co.in. , www.schools9.com.,
www.vidyavision.com. It is informed that the selection orders or the call letters will be sent separately to
the selected candidates for counselling. All the Seats in General and Minority Colleges will be filled by the
Convenor through counselling. The selected Candidates will be called for counselling in suitable ratio.
Subsequent counseling will be conducted as per the necessity after the first counselling. Provisional
Selection Orders will be issued to the selected candidates in the counselling for admission into their
respective General and Minority Colleges.
i) The information furnished in OMR application by the candidate will only be considered and registered
and if any candidate fails to fill his/her complete information or gives wrong information, the fault lies with
the applicant only. The candidate’s application will be scanned and the data will be created by the computer
through the OMR Scanner only. The complete process of preparing nominal roll, issuing of Hall Tickets,
tabulation and ranking is done by the Computers.
j) The Jurisdiction for any appeal to be settled is in the Hyderabad city courts only. The reference period for
such appeal is before the completion of admissions of APRJC-CET-2013, RDC- CET-2013 for the
academic year 2013-2014 or before the last date of admissions into first year Intermediate as announced by
the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. Hyderabad only and before the closure of first year Degree
admission by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjunanagar, Guntur for APR Degree College
Nagarjunasagar and Rayalaseema University, Kurnool for Silver Jubilee College, Kurnool.
18. COUNSELLING AND ADMISSIONS:
Call letters will be sent to the selected candidates in a suitable ratio for the counselling at a specified
Place, date and time on the basis of merit they secured in the entrance test by following the rule of
reservation. If the candidate who is called for counseling fails to report, he/she will lose the chance of
getting admission and his/her name will be set aside/deleted from the merit list and no correspondence will
be entertained thereafter. The candidate has to report with all his original certificates, three sets of Xerox
copies and six copies of latest passport size photos accompanied by his/her parent, and if fails he/she will
not be considered for counselling. At the time of counselling the selected candidates will be given the
Provisional selection order with instructions to report to the Principal of the AP Residential Junior
College/AP Residential Degree College and Silver Jubilee Government College (Men) Autonomous
Kurnool. If the candidate fails to report to the Principal concerned on the given date and time, he/she will
forfeit the admission and no correspondence will be entertained and their seat will be filled with the next
candidate in the merit order. The candidate should not send any certificate or true copy along with the
OMR Application.
19. INSTRUCTIONS TO BE FOLLOWED WHILE FILLING THE APRJC CET-OMR
APPLICATIONS:
a) A blank specimen copy of OMR Application is furnished in the Prospectus. Candidates are advised to
make use of the same to fill up their particulars initially. After ensuring the correctness of the entries,
information can be transferred to the Original OMR Application to avoid corrections and over writings.
b) Recent passport size photo without signature or attestation thereon should be affixed intact with gum in
the box provided. It should not be pinned or tagged which may lead to rejection by the computer. If the
computer rejects the application sent without following above instructions, neither the Convenor nor the
APREI Society holds any responsibility for such applications and the candidate himself alone is
responsible.

c) Filled in OMR Applications should be sent only to the Convenor in a safe manner by
taking all the precautions. Application should not be folded/torn/soiled/spoiled in any
manner. Computer rejects such applications which may result in losing the chance to appear
for the test. The filled in OMR application should be sent only in the specified cover supplied
by the Convener.
d) The candidate is advised to take a Xerox copy of the filled in Original OMR application
before its dispatch to the Convenor for their record and reference.
e) The candidate must note the correct mobile/cell number only for further correspondence.
f) For Acknowledgement of the OMR application, the Acknowledgement card enclosed
to the prospectus may be filled, affixing Rs.6/- or required postage stamps.

I. Introduction
The A.P. Residential Degree College, Vijayapuri South, Nagarjuna Sagar was established in 1982
by the Govt. of A.P in G.O.Ms.No. 762 Edn., Dept., Dt.21-9-1982 under the Management of A.P
Residential Educational Society (Regd.), Hyderabad in fully Residential and Gurukul Pattern with an aim to
cater to the needs of rural talented students at undergraduate level. The main objective of APREI Society to
start APR Degree College at Nagarjuna Sagar is to provide quality education suited to the present day
educational scenario in a congenial atmosphere and to help and strive for all round development of the
students. It provides free boarding and hostel facility in addition to free education with the aid of Govt. of
Andhra Pradesh.
Since its inception, the college has been producing meritorious students who brought laurels to the
college. A good number of students got selected to IITs, Indian Institute of Science, Central Universities of
Hyderabad, Pondicherry, JNU, BHU, University of Delhi and other reputed institutions across the country.
Majority of B.Com., students got selected for CA., ICWA & Company Secretaries. Most of the B.A.
students are in Group I and Group II Services and some of them have joined IAS/ IPS/IRS/IFS. The college
is equipped with good Library and Laboratory facilities. The staff of the college is highly qualified and is
well experienced. It is a judicious mixture of talented youth and experienced Lecturers. A special feature of
the college is the loco-parent system, in which a batch of 20 students is allotted to a lecturer, called locoparent.
The loco-parent will supervise overall welfare of his ward which includes not only academic but
even health, career guidance and counselling.
The Alumni is very active and supporting the outgoing students both financially and academically

I. Profile of the College:
1. Silver Jubilee Government College, Kurnool was established in October 1972 to cater to
the needs of meritorious students in the state of A.P , It was conferred Autonomy in 2005
and accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC in 2006, recognized by UGC as College with
Potential for Excellence. The UGC extended Autonomous Status to the College from
2011-12 to 2016-17 in the year 2010.
2. Silver Jubilee Government College (Autonomous), Kurnool is under the jurisdiction of
Rayalaseema University, Kurnool.
3 The Institution has Jawahar Knowledge Centre which imparts employable skills to the
students and assists them in the Campus Placements. Many students got jobs through
Jawahar Knowledge Centre (JKC), in the international organizations like Infosys, ICICI and
Cipla and other MNCs.
4. The Silver Jubilee Govt., College (Men), Kurnool received “State Highest Pass Percentage
“Award from the CCE, A.P., Hyderabad at MCRHRDI, Hyderabad in December 2012 for
achieving the success rate of 98.5% in 2011-12.
II. Definition of Local Candidates:
A candidate for admission into this college shall be regarded as local candidate in relation to
a local area (Erstwhile University area) as defined by the relevant Government Order.
III. General Rules:
1. Admissions are ONLY FOR MEN.
2. Admissions will be made on the basis of marks obtained in RDC-CET-2013.
3. Students admitted have to follow the rules and regulations of the college sincerely and
strictly.
4. The college works for 6 hours a day and for 220 days a year.
5. 90% of attendance is compulsory.
6. All the Students must take one add-on course/certificate course in III year.
7. All the students admitted should join either in NCC / NSS/Sports &Games/Cultural
activities, unless they are declared physically challenged.
8. Attendance for the classes of Physical Education, NCC and NSS is compulsory.
9. For the students who discontinue the studies, the expenditure spent on him till then in the
college and hostel shall be recovered from him immediately.
10. However the administration reserves the right of changing the rules to be followed as per
the directions of the Government and University from time to time.

IV. Eligibility to Appear for RDC-CET 2013
Students who have appeared for Senior Intermediate Examination in March/April -2013 conducted by the
Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. or equivalent to Intermediate of A.P. are only eligible to appear for
the test subject to the following conditions.
a) They should have passed the qualifying examination in one and first attempt and should have
secured 50% of marks on aggregate and 40% of aggregate marks in English subject. The minimum
is however relaxable to the extent of 5% in the case of SC/ST/BCs. The students appeared for the
intermediate instant examination in 2013 are not eligible to appear for the RDC -CET - 2013.
b) Mere appearing the Entrance Test does not confer any right for admission. Applicants shall also
fulfill other admission criteria stipulated by ANU & APREI society, Rayalaseema University and
Govt. of AP as the case may be.
c) A student may seek admission into B.A. or B.Com., irrespective of the subjects studied in the
qualifying examination provided he answers the prescribed papers in the entrance Test as indicated
in the scheme and syllabus and stands on merit. However, students of MEC group in Intermediate
should write the CET, with the General English, Maths, Economics & Commerce – I i.e., Elements
of Commerce.
d) Those students who opt for the B.Sc. course must study the relevant subjects as shown against each
course in the scheme and syllabus at intermediate level. However, MEC students are also eligible
for B.Sc. (Maths, Statistics & Computer Science) provided he answers the prescribed papers in the
entrance test as indicated in the scheme and syllabus and stands on merit i.e., General English,
Maths, Economics and Commerce-I i.e. Elements of Commerce.

VII. Scheme and Syllabus for the Common Entrance Test
(1) The examination will be in one session of 2 ½ hours duration in the above subjects for150 marks in
Total. There will be three papers of each 40 marks in addition to English paper for 30 Marks.
English paper is general in nature and common to all. The Questions papers of Group Subjects will
be both in English and Telugu media.
(2) The pattern of Question Papers in the Group:
a) For all Group subjects 40 objective type multiple choice questions in each paper.
b) English paper will be of 30 objective type multiple choice questions on General English.
c) The model questions are given at the end of the prospectus.

The reservation of seats will be as per Govt. orders issued from time to time.
X. Conditions for Reservation of Seats for Special Categories:
Certificate of evidence has to be obtained from the competent authority for NCC, Games & Sports,
Physically Handicapped and Defence in the case of admission under these categories.
a) NCC category- Senior Division ‘B’ Certificate.
b) Sports category - District and above level participation certificate.
c) PHC category - Medical Certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Civil
Surgeon. Minimum disability 40%. In case of tie the seat will be given to highest merit candidate

XII. Hostel Fee (For Silver Jubilee College Kurnool)
1) Every student admitted shall reside in the Hostel attached to the college
2) He will be sanctioned Rs. 20/- per day by Government of A.P. towards diet charges.
(There are proposals for the enhancement of diet charges from Rs.600 to Rs.1050 per student per month).
3) Hostel Maintenance charges will be revised as per the rates in vogue at the time of
admission:
Total consumption charges (electricity, water charges, wages to hostel workers etc.) will
be equally distributed to the number of inmates in the hostel which may come to
Rs.2200/- per head ,every year; which will be required to be paid at the time of admission.
However, if any excess is required it will be collected from the inmates.
4) The hostel mess will be run either by a contractor appointed by the hostel advisory
committee through out sourcing or as it was run in previous years.

XIV. General Instructions:
These Degree Colleges are the prestigious State Level Colleges where high quality of discipline,

organizing the co-curricular, leadership and management development programmes to enrich the
